Monday facts..........................................

 ello Monday, hello facts.................

Diners are part of a rich tradition in America. Over the years the staff of these local restaurants have even invented their own language for dishes served.

Adam and Eve on a raft” means two poached eggs on toast

Zeppelins, in a fog” is sausages and mashed potatoes

Cowboy with spurs is a western omelette with chips

Stretch” means a Coke

How true these are I do not know

Sounds reasonable to me... I note you left off the famous s**t on a shingle, but that's prolly for the best...

I've read some of them before, but never heard them. I've also never worked in a diner.

I hadn't heard of any of these and I worked in a couple of diners in my youth.

I haven't heard any of these, either, but they're neat! I wonder if Canadian diner staff have their own lingo; probably!

Yes, love diner code, if you sit on a counter stool you can hear the waitresses as they put in their orders. It's fun to try to guess which menu item they're referring to.
