END OF YEAR POST

Well hello everyone it is Wednesday 28 December and I want to say I am sorry for not posting much recently but I have had zero motivation and my Christmas Spirit has been in the grave yard visiting my parents.

2022 has been another shocking year from the 30 May when the tree came through our roof, we still have a leak in the kitchen. Yes we got a new disable friendly bath room and a new kitchen not short ass friendly. We are still waiting for the new ramp at the front door.

My Christmas was ok not great I wasn't happy a and cried a fair bit more then I let on and of course I was drenched in sweat. No gifts from Tim or Tasha or Jess I did get a gift from Kathy and grew. Also from my brother's family and two of my sisters.

Getting in our car is a nightmare we have a Mitsubishi Outlander and it's too high. Tim has decided to look for something smaller.

Tim is recovering well and hopes to return to work by February.

I hope all my online friends had a bloody great Christmas and I will be back in 2023.

WEEK 51 OF 2022

Here we are at another Sunday, had a painful night with my right thigh. I managed to get out of bed on my own this morning. Tasha and Tim took the microwave into the kitchen.

A wet day for most of the day and kinda cold as well not December weather at all.

Managed to put a few things away in the kitchen but a bloody lot more to do. I asked Kathy if she could come and help, she said she can on Wednesday.

Jess putting me to bed.

Had a better night up at 5.15 my thigh is still painful as well as my left knee. Tim is up early 6am complaining he is cold. Another cold and wet day.

Kelli and Sam came and hung photos and Tim hung the Christmas cards for me so I am feeling happier.

Kelli came and gave my leg a good massage.

Saw Sandy and Denni, Temika stayed in the car.

Had a bit of a sleep in getting up at 5.50am, Tim also got up to pee so was able to help me change my pants. I am wearing long pants in bloody December.

Asked Tasha to help put stuff back in the kitchen after an argument and her slamming things around she did it. I tossed out a lot of stuff.

Sandra called in and took some of the containers I no longer want.

Woke in another mood like I did yesterday as I was dropping stuff and shaking a lot.

My mood improved during the day, Kathy arrived around midday to colour Tasha's hair and help us with the house. She put some of the glasses away.

Tim went to see the GP to have how he is healing assessed all is going well.

Slept better didn't wake in a mood which is good. Had only cheese and crackers for breaky till Tasha arrives with Macca's.

I managed to do the food shopping without issue.

I am, however, drenched in sweat which makes going to the toilet bloody difficult.

Jono's birthday he is 35 today.

Another decent night up and washed ready for the day. I am looking forward to a late lunch at Dave's with the siblings.

Jessica came and helped my dress for lunch and get me into the car which was a task and a half.

Lunch was great, Jeannie was a no show and Temika didn't want to go so she went to a mates instead.

Sandy and Denni decided to stay the night at Dave's.

Jessica came and got me ready for bed.

CHRISTMAS EVE

May have gone to bed much later then usual but was still up by 5.20am. Had to ring Tasha as Tim left my walker in the car and I needed it.

Sandy brought over my Christmas present a non slip lap table which I will use a lot.

While she was here her and Tasha sorted out the kitchen and she helped Tim bring out the chairs for the dinning table.

Later Kathy arrived and vacuumed and showered me.

CHRISTMAS GREENERY

Evergreens, the symbol of eternal life, are as much a part of Christmas now as always for many people. The wreath upon the door seems to say Welcome the spirit of Christmas is in this home.

The garlands that decorate some stairs and other parts of the house bring a feeling of joy and friendship in such homes.

Kissing under the mistletoe (not an Aussie thing) is a popular thing for many, it is a custom that started in Rome.

Love and kinship take on a new glow when the twinkling tree sounds out its little messages of warmth and holiday spirit.

There is no other time of year when our homes are as opened to friends and loved ones. As we decorate our rooms and tree in a special way we are preparing our hearts for the coming of the Christ Child for whom all is said and done.

This is what Christmas is really all about.

CHRISTMAS LOVE

Christmas is a happy and cherished time all around the world. This is a time when family ties seem stronger and closer than ever. It is a time to draw together the strands of friendship that have loosened throughout the busy year.

Christmas means many things to many people, but the key words to its joy are “loving” and ”giving”. Gifts and greetings pour out in a great flood during this season.

New friendships are formed, old ones renewed and revitalised, this is a time when heart speaks to heart and the message is LOVE....

CHRISTMAS FACTS

Good morning all it is Monday and I am posting some facts about the jolly old man in red.

Santa, Santa Claus is 1,751 years old as of 2022. In fact, the origins of Santa Claus can be traced all the way back to a monk named Saint Nicholas, who was born between 260 and 280 A.D. in a village called Patara, which is part of modern-day Turkey

Similar to Santa, the elves believe Mrs. Claus is roughly the same age, around 1,700 years old. Mrs. Claus is from Canada, so she is very used to the cold temperatures in the North Pole.

They state that one of the oldest elves around is 4,000 years old, and he goes by the name of Kringle. The youngest is only 700 and is named Buttercup

The average winter temperature at the North Pole is-40°C (-40°F). This is seriously cold, but not quite as cold as the winter average at the South Pole, which hovers around -60°C (-76°F)!

So, how many reindeer does Santa have? Before we get into naming all of them, let's get one thing straight—Santa has a total of nine reindeer pulling his sleigh. The legendary names are Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner, Blitzen, and (drum roll) Rudolph.

WEEK 50 OF 2022

Sunday again, Tim slept in his armchair to see if he has a better nights sleep. He said he slept well but woke up aching all over.

Managed to do some more letters and cards.

Tasha putting me to bed as Jess forgot and went shopping with Leo.

I have felt restless since 10am.

Monday the 12th sees “My Blain” turning 17. I woke drenched in sweat going to be a hot day. I sent Blain a birthday message, gave him his gift when he came down just a $50 Playstation card. He has gone to his dad's for the week.

Jess came and helped me sort out the Christmas presents. There are still a couple to buy for.

I am sweating so much I have it dripping off me and it has me distressed and in a foul mood.

Also did more Christmas cards only 6 left to do.

Tim slept of the lounge again and I tried to remain quite so not to bother him.

I finished off the Christmas card.

Tim went into work to pick up his work bag and to catch up with some work mates.

He is also off to see the hand surgeon this afternoon.

Wednesday already and Tim again slept in the loungeroom but moved to the bed when I got up at 5.15am.

Tim needed to take some claim form into work to have one page filled in. He then took it into wherever he needed to take it to hand in.

I had a so so night, Tim came to bed around midnight and complained I was in the middle of the bed. This woke me and I was restless the rest of the night.

Saw the podiatrist my feet are good. Although I had a lot of trouble getting into the car with my right leg.

Men came and ripped out our kitchen so no I had no lunch nor tea.

Tasha came and gave me a good shower as I had an accident.

Had a reasonable night although when Tim came to bed I was again laying in the middle of the bed and he shoved me over hurting my right leg causing me to cry.

Someone dropped off the new kitchen sink and said workers should be here around lunch time.

I am so over the state of this house.

Tim spoke to the workers about the shelve for the microwave there is no way I could reach the microwave there. I am only 4'10”.

The boss is suppose to ring me tomorrow about it.

Woke at 5.10 and found Tim up already as he was restless and unable to sleep.

The kitchen is half done, no power points as yet and no oven/stove.

The plumber came and installed the sink as well as the dishwasher after he got the ok from his boss to do so.

Sam (Leo) went on a date this afternoon/night to the carols by candle light. He is super excited as he really likes this girl.

Kelli agreed to drive him to the girls home and his Papa (Tim) agreed to go and pick him up afterwards.

Kelli also is putting me to bed.

WEEK 49 OF 2022

Sunday now and I spent 3hrs working on the family calendars only to discover I stuffed up will try again tomorrow.

Tasha went to see her dad and I rang and spoke to him.

Saw Kelli and kids.

This morning I am going to work on the calendars again this time I will go through Snapfish fingers cross it doesn't take too long. So no blogging today and maybe tomorrow I will work on Christmas cards.

Had a so so nights sleep got up at 5.15am in pain and needing to pee.

I feel like shit today did another Covid test still negative.

Spoke to Tim today he is hoping to come home on Friday.

Another day has arrived going to be another hotish day.

Last night before she put me to bed Tasha applied some magnesium oil to my legs and it worked great on my thigh and good on the knees.

Tim rang Tasha and said he might be coming home today.

Yes Tim came home at 2.30 he is doing so so.

Kelli walked in around 7.30am she drove her niece Issy to work and has gone to Jess's for a nap.

Tasha said she can't take Tim down to his appointment with the cops at Belmont. So he said he will drive himself. Which he did the chargers against the other driver have been upgraded to include grievous bodily harm (GBH). The first thing the cop told Tim was that he wasn't at fault.

Had a good night last night it was MAD night which stands for Music Arts and Drama, Sydney-May (granddaughter) was the opening act. I wish I was able to go and see her preform.

Tim has an appointment for a MRI tonight at 7.30pm at the John Hunter Hospital.

A much cooler day today, not like summer at all.

The weekend has arrived but everyday is pretty much the same for me.

Took me a while but managed to undo some stuff up with Chrome.

Managed to do another 6 letters with Christmas cards with the help of Tasha and Kathy, still more to do. Summer walked down and posted some for me.

I hope to be on top of things my Monday.

Sunday 4 December 2022

WEEK 48 OF 2022

Woke up in pain again but manage to wash and prepare myself for the day. I unpacked the dishwasher and prepared my own breaky.

Tasha is in a right mood and is posting nasty sounding messages on the family chat. She doesn't want me involved but I am. I feel like I am just one big burden and feel like just walking away from everything and everyone. She is in a bad place and is taking it out on everyone.

Tim feels like she hates him and I don't know what to do. I am so worried about him. Tasha has it in her mind that he kicked her out of home because she said she was a lesbian I don't remember this happening.

Woke to a stream of texts on the family chat about how Tasha feels like she is left to do everything with no help. I was given advance notice of the tirade that was coming and told to not comment and try to stay out of it.

Sandy came over to see me and make a phone call in private without husband or children listening.

Another day and it is Tuesday I forgot that yesterday was Monday. So I did not do a blog post.

A hot day with me dripping sweat and feeling like everything is an effort.

Jessica's shift for traffic work has been cancelled for this week, she hopes something else pops up work wise. Because she isn't working she told Tasha she will put me to bed.

My knee pain is now in both knees which sucks.

Last day of November and last day of Spring, I wonder what the weather will be like. I struggled to get up this morning dragged myself out of bed at 6am, Kathy rings around 6.30ish.

Managed to do a couple of letters with Christmas card. I have felt worn out all day.

Start of a new month but not a good start I woken last night at I think 11 something by Jess who told me Tim had been in an accident but was ok, hurt but ok and that she was going to the hospital.

I then cried and prayed on returning home Jess came and told me more. He has a broken wrist, a broken clavicle and some bruise and broken ribs. He will have surgery sometime today.

Tasha and Jess went over to the hospital to check on him and take some clothes over.

Tasha told me it was a head on collision and he went over the bonnet of the car.

I feel numb like I did when Dad died.

Had a shit night kept waking up and reaching for Tim this is unusual for me, mostly I feel numb.

Sandy came took me to see Tim which helped he was confused at times and not sure where he was.

We have no idea where his bike is Sandy rang the police and asked but it wasn't noted in the report but would try and find out.

Kathy has been in contact with a child who has Covid and is waiting on her results.

Had a better nights sleep woke at 6.10am and was surprised to get a phone call from Kathy she has Covid and cannot go to see her dad, this has upset her a lot.

Tim being operated on this afternoon sometime.

Tasha is still in a shitload of pain.
