Creature Wednesday/ Komodo Dragon

Hello everyone, it is much cooler here today been a bit wet this morning but fine at the moment, being Wednesday means it is creature day and today's creature is the Komodo Dragon.

Any animal that is called a dragon isn't a shrinking violet, it is a lizard but it is about as close to a dragon as a real live animal can be, it is a slime-drooling, goat- gobbling, man- eating monster.

It is covered in scales with hard knobbly plates on them, this makes their skin hard to bite through. They grow to about 3 metres or 10ft long, they have big jaws and sharp teeth and a dangerous venom that they inject when they bite. It makes prey animals such as goats and deer bleed and collapse, which makes it easier for the slavering dragon gobble up. They swallow huge chunks whole, regurgitating slimy balls of skin and bone.

It is the biggest, roughest, toughest lizard of them all.

  2. I don't like even the house lizard. This one is more scary and looks dangerous.
