Do you remember your mum saying these things? Did you think I won't say that when I am a mum and now do you find yourself saying these things to your children............lol
Now my mum never said "wait till your father gets home" if we did something wrong she dished out the punishment and because of that I tried to do the same thing although I would at times say to my girls do you want to deal with me or wait to your father gets home and deal with him and of course they always picked to deal with me...............lol
I can remember my daughters saying that "because I said so" wasn't a good enough reason but of course now that they are mothers "because I said so" is definitely good enough as it is what they say..........
I can also remember my eldest saying she never wanted to turn into me....................lol
Now she will admit she is turning into me......................lol

i have indeed turned into my mother. well some anyway. it's not always a bad thing. i hope my daughter turns into me. payback :)
ReplyDeleteYes sometimes I think it is payback when I see Kathy turning into me since she would say that turning into me would be a terrible thing.......lol
DeleteMy mum never said anything, when it exploded we just got a good smack instead.
ReplyDeleteI got many good smacks as a child and it was not abuse it was discipline
DeleteDearest Jo-Anne,
ReplyDeleteOh, my late mum did say anything like that. However, as she was working and got home around 5 oclock in the evening, I shared (or forced to, haha) large part of household work (being the only daughter with a big brother). I remember I was helping dishes when I was kindergarten standing on a stool my dad made for me.
Haha, kind of brought up with a bit strict discipline; but I appreciate it now for that.
Lots of hugs from Japan, xoxo Miyako
I was helping with the cooking from the age of 13-14 and of course there was other housework I had to help out with. I hated doing the dishes but of course I did have to do them it was my job.......
Deletei thought this was adorable had to share the picture to cute
ReplyDeleteI found this picture on Facebook and thought it would be a great blog and so did another blogger so I used it for a blog.............
DeleteI've turned into my mother?
ReplyDeleteSo THAT explains the breasts.
But, I'd seriously like to know where "Little Al and the Twins" went to.
Your breasts scared "Little Al" so much he took the twins and fled.......lol
DeleteI have, YES! No doubt about it! :)
ReplyDeleteI have too and I like it because my mum is an awesome woman
DeleteAll except #3. Mom never waited. Wish she would have because my dad was the nicer one in the family as far as punishment went. ;)
ReplyDeleteI am similar to my mom in many ways, but we are still very different in some big ways, too.
I think it was better that my mum didn't make us wait for dad and got the punishment out of the way. I am also very much like my mum but very different at the same time........
DeleteI am almost a carbon copy of my mom these days. I already see my oldest daughter turning more and more into me. Funny how that all works~
ReplyDeleteYes it is funny how most women will grow up and become very much like their mothers sometimes though that is not a good thing.......in my case I like being like my mum since she is amazing.....
DeleteOh yeah I have! Everytime I utter these words I hear my mohters voice. Sometimes I cringe. Sometimes I smile. It all depends on the moment. LOL, Susan Cooper
ReplyDeleteI often hear my mothers voice coming out of my mouth and like you it depends on my mood whether I am happy to hear it or not........
