Here we are at Tuesday and the second extreme creatures post today it's the Blue Whale.
This whale is big in fact it is the largest creature to live on Earth. It can weigh almost 200 tonnes, which is like four train carriages, its tongue alone is as heavy as an elephant.
It gives birth to a 3 tonne baby which can grow to 30 metres in length and can eat up to 3600 kilograms of food a day.
They have a lifespan of 80-90 years, there are believed to be 25,000 left in the wild.
Yeah all women think they are carrying a 3-ton baby. At least I know I would.

ReplyDeleteThose are all interesting facts! I had NO idea they were that big. Can't even imagine the tongue size if it weighs as much as an elephant. AMAZING!
