Hello Jo-Anne. I have visited Jean's blog. Yes, it is also going to be a lonely Christmas for us as our boys will not be able to visit us for Christmas because of the movement restriction until the end of the year. Take care and stay safe.
Dearest Jo-Anne, Well, for the first time, SOME others will now fully understand what and how it is to celebrate Christmas without family... That's what we've always had to do, being a first immigrant. Traveling around Christmas time was always connected to sky high prices, due to peak season for winter ski vacations. Yep, there are those that make profit of vacation periods... So in that regard we have had a perfect training! Merry Christmas to the world and may they start thinking and praying about the true meaning! Hugs, Mariette
I've celebrated Christmas without family for many years now, as it's only my mom on the east coast of Canada and my dad on the west coast. So it's a very lonely time for many, not just this year. But harder when you're not used to it, I think. My thoughts go out to all in need. ♥
Dear Jo-Anne, I visit Jean's blog whenever I'm able to read and write on blogs. And I so appreciate that for so many, many people all over the globe this Christmas will be lonely. Still, I can't help thinking that it is an opportunity for all of us to appreciate what the homeless and the destitute and many single people go through each holiday because they are alone and often lonely. This is one of the things we can learn from this pandemic. That in the Holy Oneness of All Creation, we share all the emotions of the other humans who inhabit this planet with us. Peace.
