Hello
everyone, here I am on a Monday afternoon writing a post because I
can and because everyone needs useless facts in their lives.
The
term “rookie” comes from the military use of the word, it
originated during the American Civil War, when there was a huge
influx on new soldiers as in recruits or reckies.
The
world's first form of chocolate was a drink regarded by the Aztecs as
the drink of gods. The drink “chocoatl” was made from ground
cacao beans, a few grains of corn and water and was beaten until
frothy and cold.
One
pound of tea can make 300 cups of tea
At
the equator the earth spins at about 1,000 miles per hour
Canada
has more lakes than the rest of the world combined
Interesting regarding the tea..always wondered that, now I know:)
ReplyDeleteNow I know the beginning of chocolates.
ReplyDeleteHi Jo-Anne ... I did know about the Canadian lakes ... zillions of them! Fun facts - hope you have a good week - cheers Hilary
ReplyDeleteFirst off, I LOVE your opening!
ReplyDeleteSecond, you taught me something new again on the rookies and on Canada. Thanks!
Margaret......Yes that tea fact was interesting
ReplyDeleteNancy.........Yes you do
Hilary........I did not know any of these facts;
Chris.......I try to please
Well...re: the equator...are people in danger of flying off into space as they stand there? Or are the heavier than a ton of steel and just stand there? Kidding of course but that IS a fascinating fact!
