FIRST FACTS OF 2023

Good morning all it is 6.35am on this lovely Monday morning and here are this weeks facts.

Grasshoppers have learned to hear with their legs,waving them in the air like little TV aerials feeling for sound waves.

Some centipedes really do have 100 legs, the legs a pill millipede has is 38.

Corduroy” comes from the French “Cord du Roi” or “cloth of the king”

Forget-me-not according to German legend this flower gets it's name from the last words of a knight who was drowned while trying to pick some from the river side for his lady love.
