Dog on tuckeerbox salesman

Now is Tuesday and means a bit more about the Dog on the Tuckerbox.

The greatest credit for the circulation of Moses' poem and its subsequent adoption by Australians generally might be given to a newsagent, the late E O'Sullivan, who was not known as a vocal salesman.

Before motor transport became popular and when the “iron horse” carried practically every person who travelled in this country. He would meet every train that stopped at Gunadagai, he never failed to sell the usual stuff but he also sold postcards with Moses' poem on one side and a cartoon of the dog on the other. It can be truthfully stated that he while in business he sold thousands off these cards.
