Hello Monday, here are some facts..................
The longest long-distance phone call between two people was over a third of a million Kilometres apart.
This happened in on the 2th July 1969 and took place between President Richard Nixon and Neil Armstrong & Buzz Aldrin, Nixon was in the White House the others on the Moon.
In the 1930's special blue post boxes in Britain for airmail, they used to be a regular sight but have since disappeared.
A fully grown python can swallow a whole pig
Our eyes are the same size from birth but our nose and ears never stop growing.
I remember when that phone call was in the news.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie
Couldn't bear to see a python swallow a pig, I would run..lol
ReplyDeleteI'm with Margaret...I'd run, screaming. Can't imagine it. (And oh, the poor pig!)
ReplyDeleteWe're a weird-looking species, with our nose and ears continuing to grow throughout our lives. I wonder whatever for, why that happens!
P.S. I wonder how long it would be before a python had to eat again, if it swallowed an entire pig! Months??? Ugh.
ReplyDeleteImagine if Dr Who decided to use the postal box instead of the police phone box...
ReplyDeleteI didn't know about our eyes being the same size from birth. This is amazing. I learned something new today. Thanks for the facts.
ReplyDeleteDear Jo-Anne, I knew that about the nose and ears because mine just keep growing. I gather that's because the skin covers cartillage, not bone. My ears just to be so tiny--people commented on them--now I look like Dumbo the baby elephant!!! Peace to you. Take care.
ReplyDeleteJanie........I don't
ReplyDeleteMargaret D............Me too
Kea.........Yeah I would run too and we are wweird, me too
Chris....Not a Dr Who fan but yeah what if
Nancy......I am pleased
Dee..........My Dad had dumbo ears
I don't or won't visit any country that has pythons. NO way. In fact, I don't like those BIG snakes that eat people and pigs, etc. They scare the heck out of me. I can handle a rattlesnake. You just have to understand where they are coming from. But those big ones - no way.
ReplyDeleteI'll take giant sunflowers over BIG snakes. LOL
