Christmas Long Ago

Frosty days and ice-still nights,
Fir trees trimmed with tiny lights,
Sound of sleigh bells in the snow,
That was Christmas long ago.

Tykes on sleds and shouts of glee,
Icy-window filigree,
Sugarplums and candle glow,
Part of Christmas long ago.

Footsteps stealthy on the stair,
Sweet-voiced carols in the air,
Stocking hanging in a row,
Tell of Christmas long ago.

Starry nights so still and blue,
Good friends calling out to you,
Life, so fact, will always slow…
For dreams of Christmas long ago.

  2. Hi Jo-Anne - I remember my South African Christmases ... at least it was warm ... usually too hot - but certainly different ... and this was fun to see and read - cheers Hilary

  3. I can't imagine Christmas in shorts by the bar-b-que. That would be so strange to me, even though we have places in the southern United States where they have Santa's in shorts. I'm a snow girl! :)

  11. Purchasing these and setting them up can net you large benefits. Over the long haul, you will make much more by following the technique than you would by buying homes that need practically no work.
