What type of music do you like? Me I like most music except classical which
for the most part just doesn't move me and yes I know many people won't agee
but it is what it is.......
I love country music but it is not the only type of music I love I will
listen to pop and to rock and even to rap. I think music is just so important
in life music can make us feel so many things mostly it makes me feel alive.
Listening to music has always been a passion of mine, however, I have found in
the last year or so that when I am in the car driveing I no longer want the
radio on or even a cd playin I don't know why that is I just find it
annoying.........
I use to have music playing all the time and now I don't in some ways it
feels wrong but it can't be forced maybe I will drift back into listening to
musice but for now that is not the case.
I used to listen to music all the time from the age of about ten. But then I lived with a guy who had his own country band and heard nothing else for seven years. After that, I basically listened to oldies on the car radio and new age stuff at home for the last couple decades...so I am waaaay out of the music loop. ;)
ReplyDeleteYou know what is funny I forgot I wrote this yesterday and was surprised to see so many comment in my email inbox...........lol
DeleteOk moving on I am also way out of hte music loop have no idea who is who in music now........lol
I love listening to my ipod while I am cleaning or doing dishes. It helps me keep motivated. But I absolutely hate when music in movies is so loud that you can hardly hear the dialogue!
ReplyDeleteAs always,...Good post!
Blessings, Joanne
I don't have an ipod but don't think I would like one as I do not like to ear earphones.......lol I am so with you about the music in movies some of it is just so bloody loud
DeleteDearest Jo-Anne,
ReplyDeleteI love pop-music of my time p;) And I have them listed in the you-tube so that automatically move on. As my PC is in the kitchen, it is really useul to listen to them♬♬♬ Well, I can see what you mean; we need time off for everything at times, don't we!
Oh, I really am grateful for your heartfelt thoughts and generous word for me. Thank you SO much. I truly appreciate it♡♡♡ Love you always;
Hope you are having wonderful Sunday, my sis-city friend, xoxo Miyako*
Yes I think many of love the music from our youth it brings us so many great memories........lol
DeleteIt does feel odd to me at times that I don't listen to musice all the time like I use to
My son is a professional guitarist, so I'm spoiled I LOVE listening to him play.
ReplyDeleteHe plays any type of music but my favorite is when he plays Jazz.
Wow it would be awesome to have a professional musician in the family I do like listening to Jazz as well
DeleteI love most music although the techno dance stuff gives me a headache (showing my age I guess)
ReplyDeleteI usually like having the radio on when I am home on my own doing things
I have never been into the techno music my grandmother had the radio on from the time she got up to the time she went to bed it was the first thing she did when she got up turn the radio on......
DeleteI used to listen to a lot of music but as the years go on, I hardly listen to any. This is partly due to having cars where the stereo doesn't set radio stations so I have to search for it each time I get in the car which if I'm not going far is pointless. Then over the years my older brother works nights so I feel guilty having music playing.
ReplyDeleteYes I think for me the big change with my listening to music at home was when Tim started working nights and sleeping during the day.....
Deletei ADORE music, everything from tina turner to depeche mode, scissor sisters, and dolly parton. i also LOVE "native" music, flutes, chants, even didgeridoos lol! i almost always have something on in the background. i actually like tons of stuff from australia too. olivia newton john, jimmy barnes, kylie minogue, etc etc and i have lots of special edition tina turner stuff from there (and all over the world) as much as i love america when it comes to music and movies we are rather bland!
ReplyDeleteMusic touches our soul well I think so and I do have times when I miss listening to it and will turn something on but I guess I am getting older and finding the quiet to be nice............lol
DeleteI love music, but I am like you. In the last few years, I have come to really value the restorative powers a few moments of silence can do~
ReplyDeleteYes silence can be so refeshing at times funny how we change as we age...........
DeleteMusic speaks in all language :)
ReplyDeleteThat it does and it can be so soothing
Deletedefinitely music can't live without it
ReplyDeleteThere was a time when I felt the same way.......
DeleteHi Jo-Anne. I've always got music going on in the car. It's strange that you've suddenly turned against that, isn't it? Like you, I love all sort of music (actually, not rap!), and I am especially fond of the music from the 60's, which was when I was a teenager. Something a bit different from you today!
ReplyDeleteYes I think it is odd too, and you know I use to listen to rap also for a number of years it kind of grew on me...........lol
DeleteI like rock, such as The Beatles and Bonjovi. I like a little country (Loretta Lynn and Johnny Cash). But if I play music when I need to concentrate on something else, it gives me a headache. For example, as I write, I want the house to be so quiet that the only thing I hear is the click of doggie toenails on the wood floor.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie
Oh how I loved Johnny Cash I use to listen to him a lot when I was younger. A quiet house can be so relaxing well for me it can be.......
DeleteMusic is a very personal thing. You cannot force it. Music is one of the few things in life that reaches both parts of the brain so it has a profound effect. Listen when you feel like it, and don't listen when you don't feel like it. No right or wrong here... it is what it is. :)
ReplyDeleteYou are right you cannot force it you either feel like listening to it or you don't, I didn't know that it reaches both sides of the brain..........

bev
Well thank you I will pop on over and have a look and claim my award.......
DeleteHa ha! I love classical! I listen to it often! And I will NOT listen to rap--it's about the only type of music I have NO time for!
ReplyDeleteI know many people love classical music and many people hate rap, for me rap grew on me when I had teenagers in the car listening to it all the time....
DeleteI love all music, even classical. Different music at different times moves me in different ways. I understand your conundrum about turning of the sounds, be it music or other. For me, the sound of quiet is a music all in it's own and allows our mind to slow, rest and then wonder... Just my thoughts. :)
ReplyDeleteYes slience is music to my ears too.........
