ReplyDeleteYes, this is true. Our behavioural patterns are/can be influenced or "conditioned" by those things (upbringing, childhood experiences, etc.), but the bottom line is that only we choose what to do, how to behave, etc. Good reminder! :-)

ReplyDeleteI completely agree that we make our own choices, but there's also no doubt that many responses that form our choices are a product of what's happened in our lives.
