Yesterday and Today

Yesterday I was going to do a post but every time I started it I got interrupted and in the end didn’t get it done so here I am this morning writing this post………………….

Yesterday it started out overcast and we ended up with some rain in the afternoon, but was it cool………….no bloody way had the air con going all day and up till around 7pm and also had the air con going in the bedroom when I went to bed and it went all night I turned it off when I got up at 7am.

Tim worked yesterday he left home at 11am and got home sometime after I went to bed and he is doing the same shift today. I had told Jessica I would go to her place and help her do her food shopping but looks like I will not be able to get there, I know she is going to be pissed off with me but hell she will get over it.

Tonight at 6.30pm it is Leo’s Graduation from Day Care and of course I am going to be there with my camera, I just hope he is in a good mood. I wonder if Jessica is going to want to stay here tonight after the graduation.

Today we will go and see Nan as per usual I hope she will be good.

Yesterday I fixed the hooks on a bra of Jessica’s and then a couple of hours later she rings and tells me that the hooks on two other bras are bent and she needs them fixed and she wanted to know where she could get them fixed and when I told her I had just fixed the bra that is here she was happy and said she would drop of the other two for me to fix…………..I feel like she is 23 she should be able to fix them herself it isn’t that hard…………….lol

Speaking of being able to do things for herself she needs me to go food shopping with her to tell her what to type of food stuff to buy for Leo to take to school. I had no one to tell me what to buy for my girls when they went to school, ok that is not right I could have asked my mum but I was a big girl and could figure it out for myself.

I now have to go and in and get dressed so I am ready when mum gets here to pick me up, ok she will not be here for another hour but I do not like to leave things to the last minute as it is very easy to get lost in blogging and then she is here beeping the horn…………..lol

Guess who is 3 now............and a little about my dad's health

Well the weather has cooled down not sure for how long but I am enjoying this cooler days while they last. Yesterday we went over to Kathy's place for Sydney-May's 3rd birthday they had a BBQ, Kathy was a little pissed off that some of the people she invited didn't bother to RSVP or even turn up. To make matters worse it was raining and wet so she had to change the party from the park to her place, I told her all the important people where there such as me and papa, her sisters, 3 cousins and their children. Sydney-May loved having Blain & Leo there to play with the other 2 children are just babies so no fun to play with.

When it came time to open her presents Sydney-May was very excited about each present and loved everything, she hasn't got her presents from her mum & Mickey yet they will give them to her tomorrow which is her actual birthday.

My mum & dad didn't turn up but mum rang and told Kathy that poppy wasn't well with wheezing it was the second attack dad had in a short period of time the first was when he was straightening the mat under his chair the second was when he was helping mum move a pot plant and not a heavy pot plant. He started to cough and then wheeze and then he collapsed and mum had to try and get him up and inside, he managed to get himself onto a seat and then my brother arrived and he helped mum get dad inside and into bed for a rest.

Mum worries about dad a lot his memory isn't all that great and is getting worse and he is convinced he will get cancer again whenever he doesn't feel well he starts to think the cancer has returned. It is really hard for mum she worries but there is very little she can do to help him not worry. As for the problems with his memory she doesn't know what to do he knows he has a problem but at the same time doesn't want to admit there is a problem, if you can understand what I mean.

The next birthday in the family will be Tim's birthday next Saturday, Australia Day he will be 52 I have invited the girls over for lunch before he goes to work I have asked them to be here around 11am.

Hot now Cold and A Birthday Party or Two

I don’t know where to start with this post do I start with today or with yesterday, I should start with yesterday because well yesterday came before today but what the hell I will tell you about today first.

After getting up with Blain at 7am and having breakfast I read some blogs while waiting for the time to leave and go to Speers Point park for my niece Liarna’s 3rd birthday party it was schedule for midday and I got there around 11.40am I was the first to arrive well after my brother and wife and their girls, but there were the ones having the party.  It was held in the main part of the park not in the playground area, and it was very windy

I took both Blain and Leo and their mothers turned up between 12.30 & 1pm Jessica arrived before Tasha and stayed a while she even went and bought some hot chips for us…………..

I wanted to take some photos but my camera was flat so no photos does that suck or what…………
Ok now let’s talk a little about yesterday it was bloody stinking scorching hot with temperatures around 45C for those who have no idea what that is in Fahrenheit it is around 113F, what made it worse was that there was a northerly wind blowing which made it just so much hotter. We had all 3 air cons going at home all day and 2 of them going all night as it were so bloody hot.

Today it has been a lot cooler with temps only around 25C and tomorrow it is supposed to be even cooler and it is supposed to rain also.

Tomorrow is also Sydney-May’s 3rd birthday and we are supposed to be going back out to Speers Point park in the playground area : http://www.lakemac.com.au/variety-playground  for her birthday party but if it is raining Kathy has said it will be held at their place instead. It is in the afternoon and I would prefer if it was earlier but I know that can’t happen as Sydney doesn’t get back from her father’s place till around lunchtime

Jessica and Leo are staying here tonight as she doesn’t want to go home only to come back here tomorrow for Sydney’s party.

Pet Insurance...............yes or no...............

Pet insurance do you have it?  Do you think it is important? Do you think what’s the point?

Now we don’t have it we can’t see the point and Tim wouldn’t want to spend the money on it and no he wouldn’t want to spend the money on vet bills either but that is fine I understand. We do love our dog but it is a dog and we are not ones to spend a lot of money on vet care.

Just before Christmas my brother’s dog “Paris” got sick and it cost them a bloody lot in vet bills somewhere between $1000 and $2000 and I can tell you I would not be willing to pay that type of money. Now if you are prepared to pay out that type of money in vet care you should have pet insurance, which they didn’t have.

When our dog “Dot Dot” got sick we couldn’t afford the vet bills and had her put down which was very upsetting for us but it was best for her she was not going to get any better. Then when “Dylan” got sick we had her put down as well because she like Dot Dot had lost a lot of weight and wasn’t going to get better.

My next door neighbour spent over $1000 on vet care for her dog and it didn’t help he stilled died only weeks later and she said there was no way she would make the same mistake again and in fact when her last dog got sick she just had him put down instead.

Cabbage Patch Dolls.................or what Kathy didn't get

                          Cabbage Patch Dolls and Kathy-Lee
When she was a child one year my daughter Kathy-Lee wanted a Cabbage Patch Doll for her birthday or Christmas but she didn't get one. Why because we couldn't afford it also I thought they were ugly dolls but mostly it was that we couldn't afford it and my thought was that she would soon forget and get over it.................famous last words................lol

Yes Kathy-Lee is now 27yrs old and still goes on about not getting her Cabbage Patch doll....................lol

Damn kid forget about it already............that ship has sailed.......

So here is a question for you is there a toy you really wanted as a child and never got.........

I do not remember ever wanting something I didn't get so that is either because I was lucky and got everything I want or that my memory is shot............lol

Childhood Toy & Pet

First I would like to say that the idea for this post came to me from something I read on Timothy's bog last year and I am only now just getting around to finishing the post and posting it…….lol he can be found here: http://timothology.blogspot.com.au

Do you have a favourite childhood toy, I remember when as a little girl I had this large doll that I loved it was often being taken to the doll hospital for repair. Her face use to break a lot, I wish I could show you a photo of her but I can't find one I did get this photo of the internet and she did look something like that...........

How about childhood pets as a little girl I had a blue cattle dog named "Blue" and I loved that dog I use to ride him like a horse and he was so gentle with me but not with others, there was this one time I was out the front near the front gate and a lady walked past and spoke to me and made the mistake of touching me and what did Blue do he bite her that’s what.

Use a neighbours.........no bloody way

Many years ago we used to have a lot of problems with a blocked toilet and since we are in public housing it wasn't up to us to have it repaired it was the responsibility of the Dept of Housing.

Now this many not seem a big deal to some but it was to us, also it was never a job for a plumber each time the water board would have to be called sync e the blockage was in the street behind. Now we had no evidence that the problem was being caused by a certain neighbour who had a baby and who we thought was flushing things that shouldn't be flushed but funny thing is that when that neighbour moved the problem stop recurring.

Now whenever we had this problem and would ring the Dept of Housing we would be told that it would take a day or two to be fixed, well this wasn’t good enough for us and we would complain and demand it be fixed the same day. We would often be told to use a neighbours toilet………….wasn’t going to happen………on one occasion I said to the person on the phone how would you like it if your neighbour knocked on your door at 2am asking to use your toilet because they had to poo……………..on another occasion I was really annoyed with the way the operator was talking when she said use a neighbours toilet I asked which neighbour should I go to the prostitute, the drug dealers, the bikers, or crazy psycho this left her speechless………..lol

It has now been many years since we have had any problem with our toilet…………………..now you may be wondering why I would chose to write about this today well yesterday I was reading the problems this:  http://melyndarockinthecrazy.blogspot.com.au/2013/01/little-trailor-on-prarie-title-courtesy.html and it made me think of those problems I had many years ago so thank you Melynda for making me think of a topic for a post.
