Feeling Tired and So Many Different Time Zones

Damn I am tired today; I woke up tired and have been struggling all day.
I have although manage to create 2 calendars and some Christmas cards for my parents and myself.

How many different time zones does the county you live in have, here in Australia we have 3 most of the time but when we have daylight savings it is more like 5, as the maps show.

Australian Eastern Standard Time, covers the eastern states of Queensland, New South Wales (with the exception of the town of Broken Hill), Victoria, Tasmania and the Australian Capital Territory. AEST is equal to Coordinated Universal Time plus 10 hours (UTC +10).

Australian Central Standard Time , covers the state of South Australia, the town of Broken Hill in western New South Wales and the Northern Territory. ACST is equal to Coordinated Universal Time plus 9.5 hours (UTC +9.5).

Australian Western Standard Time, covers Western Australia.  AWST is equal to Coordinated Universal Time plus 8 hours (UTC +8).

  1. We have Eastern time (I live in this time zone), Central Standard Time, Mountain Time, and Pacific Standard Time. I think it's called Pacific. I'm drawing a blank on it. Central is one hour earlier than Eastern; Mountain is two hours earlier; and Pacific is three hours earlier. I don't know about Alaska and Hawaii. Maybe time stands still there. If I move to one of those states, then I won't age.

    Love,
    Janie

    1. I figured a country like America would have a few as well sometimes it is just confusing more so if the town is a border town like Tweed Heads here part of the town is on New South Wales time part is on Queensland time.

  2. Yes to what Janie said. We have eastern, central, mountain and pacific. Hawaii is 2 hours past pacific and Alaska is 1 hour past pacific. Some time zones do not do daylight savings. I believe that is Arizona. Or maybe it is that they never get out of daylight savings. One or the other. Some states like I believe Tennessee are split in half. Frankly, it's all mixed up.

  3. Our time zones, so many Jo-Anne. We nearly got caught once coming across the Nullabor in winter, for there are two different time zones there, and we arrived 5 minutes before the Hotel & Caravan Park closed for the night.

    1. Yes when travelling it can be confusing, when we went to Queensland our phones changed to Queensland time our laptops stayed on New South Wales time.

    1. Yes I think it would be difficult living in a town that is right on the border of two or more different time zones

  6. USA has 4 time zones. I live in the Central time zone with Mountain and then Pacific zones to the West and Eastern zone to the East, obviously. I think all our states follow daylight savings time except for Arizona. States can choose. I live right in the middle of our country and the northern part borders Canada.
