Life at mine

When I woke this morning the bedroom clock said 7.15 but the phone said 8.15 bloody day light savings. Not that I mind day light savings, I just didn't expect it this morning.

When I asked Tasha if she could come and help me she was snippy because she thought Tim should have got up to and helped me.

Kathy & Summer came over around 1ish so Summer could play with Georgia (Jason Brown's daughter.

However, around 3ish they left because the girls started to be naughty throwing stuff at Leo.

Didn't talk to mum as I have a ear ache and headache.

Up with the alarm, the house was very dark until I opened the house up.

Checked Tim's roster it said he started at 6.12, this was done at 6.30. So I woke him to check and he said it was wrong he starts at 9am.

Been a hot day had to turn the air con at 1pm because of how hot it is.

Saw Kelli when she brought Blain home.

Mum was feeling sick all day so only spoke for a few minutes

Tasha coming to give me a shower

I woke at 5am but stayed in bed till 6am when I got up, I opened the house up and got dressed with Tasha's help.

Tim home by 10.30 he has a long silt shift

Tasha checked the P O Box for me and there was a bloody lot there, including gifts for Kelli & Freya

Mum was telling me that last night she wasn't good she was very restless, hot and cold and unable to settle. She said she was like dad was the night before he passed away. This was distressing for her.

A new day, as usual up with the alarm and dressed with Tasha's help as usual.

A nice day not hot nor cold, the lawn men did the front lawns.

I walked outside and stepped on something that cause me to twist my foot hurting my toes on my left foot.

Tim home at 4pm, just before I went to listen to my book.

Mum was a bit better today, told her I ordered a gift for Skyla she was pleased. Said I could take the money out of her account but I won't.

I was dreaming when my alarm went off waking me up. Going to be another hot day.

Tim home at 10am another spilt shift, he will leave around 1pm.

Leo has gone to Kelli's for the night. He took his laptop and bike with him.

I have decided to have a bath although I expect Tasha to not be happy about that she doesn't like baths.

Woke before t he alarm tried to stay in bed but couldn't had to pee so got up. Dressed with Tasha's help.

Not as hot today thankfully.

Been a busy day sorting out letters received and friendship books.

Mum was good but also a tad annoying as she wants the Christmas gift I ordered for her to give to Skyla she wanted me to take it over so she could give it to her this weekend. I tried to explain to her that it hasn't arrived yet and may not arrive for a few weeks.

Plus it is for Christmas.

Woke at 7.30am with a headache I felt like shit so after breakfast I went back to bed till Kathy arrived.

Kathy gave me a shower, her showers are good but she doesn't scrub me as much as Tasha does. That doesn't mean I don't like the shower, it just means it is different.

After Kathy and the girls left I went back to bed for 1.5hrs as I felt like shit.

After getting up at midday I felt better and more able to function.

Mum was good when I spoke to her.

A Broken Heart

How do I mend a broken heart?
My entire world has fallen apart.
How do I find hope in a brand new day,
when the one I love has gone away?
My mind overflows with memories of you,
of all that we've shared, all that we knew.
I long for your touch and your warm embrace,
the look in your eyes, the smile on your face.
My dreams are filled with your soft gentle kiss.
I wake and cry for all that I miss.
How do I mend a broken heart,
when my one true love and I are apart?
My heart knows to love only you, it won't let go, what do I do?
Our moments together were precious and few,
but I cherished them all more than you knew.
I love you, my angel, and always will.
I loved you then and I love you still.

My Mother's Words

 TAKE THIS CHILD

Take this child just for a loan

I'll lend you for a little time

a child of mine, he said for you

to love while they live and mourn

when they die.

It may be six or seven weeks, months or years

Or twenty two or three or longer still.

Will you to I call them back take care of them for me,

They will bring their charms to gladden your heart and

should their stay be brief, you'll have their lovely memories.

As solace for your grief.

I cannot promise they will stay since all from earth return,

but there are lessons taught down there I want this child to learn

I've looked the wild world over in my search for teaches true and

from the throngs that crowds lives lanes , I have selected you.

Now will you give this child all your love, nor think the labour vain, nor hate me when I come to call and take the child back again.

I fancied that you have heard them say, dear Lord thy will be done. For all the joy the child shall bring the risk of grief will run.

Will shelter them while their here and the happiness they bring, forever grateful for their stay.

But should the angels call for the child, much sooner then planned, you'll brave the bitter grief that comes, and try to understand and maybe someday we will.

Tough Stuff Tuesday

Hello Tuesday what a day I am having so restless and hot and not knowing what I am doing but being Tuesday it is tough stuff day.

Today's tough stuff is tooth enamel something all of us have for some of if not all of our lives.

Human tooth enamel is The hardest substance in the body. It forms in a thin layer over our teeth to give them strength and protection when we bite and chew.

Like bones it contains a lot of calcium and other minerals, if you tap your teeth you'll find the hard shiny enamel surface.

Although very strong enamel can be damaged by acid, which eats away at it making holes in the teeth. Bacteria that live on your teeth make acid when they feed on sugary food.

Brushing your teeth washes them away and protects the enamel.

Human tooth enamel, though isn't the hardest of all, Beavers, which like gnawing down trees have even harder ename; that contains a lot of iron.

The hardest material in the animal world is the enamel like substance that limpets teeth are made of.

Facts

Another Monday has arrived and of course that means it is fact day.

The invention of the doughnut is either attributed to Dutch settlers in Pennsylvania who punched holes in their original Dutch “olykoeks” aka oily cakes. The hole in the middle has also been attributed tob the New England sea captain Hanson Gregory, who in 1847, punched holes in the dough because his mothers doughnuts were never cooked properly in the middle. Neither of them was the first to have this idea though. Archaeologists have found petrified fried cakes with holes in them in the south western united states in prehistoric Native American ruins.

In 1895, French brothers Auguste and Louis Lumiere demonstrated a projector system in Paris and in1907 they screened the first public movie.

Julius Caesar was the first to use coded communications, using what has become known as the Caesar cipher.

It takes 550 peanuts to make a 12 ounce or 35mljar of creamy peanut butter.

Half of the world's supply of raisins are grown in California

Just another week

I woke at 6am and after a decent nights sleep I got up and peed and decided to stay up. I sent Tasha a message asking if she could come and dress me and get breakfast for me, which she did.

I found Leo asleep in the spare room, seems that he wanted to stay last night.

Kathy arrived at 9.30 to give me a shower which she did but Tasha did my feet.

Spoke to mum for 45 minutes she was pleased to hear my voice and hear that I was ok after my fall yesterday.

Leo was struck by the butcher bird, in the face and it hurt.

I got up when the alarm went off, I opened the house up and then went to get dressed. Tasha arrived and helped me.

Kelli and her kids turned up for a visit with Jess. Daemon is spending the night with Jess.

The new ceiling fan arrived that Tim ordered.

Leo & Daemon have been here playing this afternoon. Tasha told them to go back to Leo's house at 5.30pm.

Mum was good when I spoke to her she spent 10 minutes telling how great Tasha is.

My head is sore to touch.

I woke at 6am before the alarm, just after I opened the house Tasha arrived to help me.

At 9am I had to take ½ a Phenergan in order to breath ok. This made me tired and at 1.45 I went and had a lay down but didn't sleep.

Tim was home from midday to 3.40pm as he had a split shift. I was done in, so worn out I just wanted to lay and listen to my book.

Another day started, I was annoyed with Tim as he wrote a shopping list on my discharged papers.

Also couldn't find the loungeroom house phone, Tasha found it dead in Leo's room. What it was doing there I don't know.

Been hot all day with sweat dripping out of me even though it isn't that warm.

Spoke to mum she was chatty she told me about the day she & Uncle Ronnie met Pop.

I am in so much pain in my left knee.

Tasha coming to give me a shower.

Up with the alarm as per usual going to be a warm day with possible showers. So Tim took the car to work.

Still dripping in sweat all day despite it not being that warm/hot.

Leo has been here since 1pm doing stuff in his room.

Mum told me she had a phone call from Aunty Pat, which means Krissy rang her and put Pat on. Mum said she sounded happy, Krissy told mum that she has to ring and book a time to go see her mum because of Covid 19. Aunty Pat is in the nursing home at Teralba.

Woke just before the alarm, found Leo asleep in his room. Dressed nicely in green with a bra because I am going to see the Dr to get my stitches out.

Dr appointment went well saw the nurse who removed the stitches with no problem.

Mum was in a state because of the nurse who rang the podiatrist she received a phone call from the dr's surgery about it and that caused her distress.

Decided to do some shopping at Big W online and of course the internet was slow as.........

Gave up and went to bed.

Woke at 6.30am got up but not dressed as Kathy is coming to shower me

Showered and dressed for the day. Managed to finish the Big W shopping.

Tasha picked it up ans I was annoyed that it didn't contain Jess's socks turned out that I didn't order them, although they were the first thing I looked at and added to the cart.

However, with all the problems I had they must have been removed so annoying.

Jess is working and Leo has been in and out of the house all day long. He treats this house as another home and we love it.

A Day Away

Some feelings are shallow, some feelings are deep.
Some make us smile, some make us weep.

Some we love, some we don't.
Some we'll savor, some we won't.

Some grounding, some uplifting,
Some long-lasting, some constantly shifting.

No matter what feelings I'm feeling today,
I know tomorrow is only a day away.
