Jo-Anne I remember learning about John Simpson and his donkey when I was in Primary School in the Social Studies classes of the day. I think whenever I saw a donkey way back then in the early 1950's I thought of John Patrick Simpson. I think he was awarded the VC for his exploits or at least the MC. Cheers Colin
