You're My Everything

Published: February 2008

It makes me happy just being by your side.
All these feelings I just can't hide.
You'll always be in my heart.
Can't bear the pain when we are apart.
Nobody is as special as you are to me.
I hope you are beginning to see
Just how much I care for you,
And all my feelings will always be true.
I can't describe how much I care,
But when you need me, I'll be there
To wipe those tears when you are sad,
To make you happy when you are mad.
All these things I can really do.
Just remember I'm thinking of you!

My Christmas

The last post I will write for 2020 is here.

Christmas has been and gone for 2020 and it went off with fizzle no bang here. I have not been able to get into the festive mood this year. I was late getting decorations up and slack with my Christmas cards. I did manage to send out around 50 something cards.

Christmas Day was different instead of Jess & Leo coming here and open presents, Tim & I went over to here house a whole 25 metres or 82 feet away. I rode the scooter over and Tasha walked over, so it was noisy when Kathy rang and I felt that Kathy sounded a tad left out.

After presents opened Tim got ready for work and I got dressed to go over to Mum's for lunch. My brother Dave picked me up and drove me to Mum's.

There was a good turn up with Dave & Leigh with their girls as well as Sandy & Ed and their girls along with Sue & Les (her man), Dawson and of course Mun and me.

Lunch was alright just not the same, after lunch Sandy drove me home.

Boxing Day was held here and all 3 daughters and 4 grandchildren along with Kathy's fiance Michael. Tim bought KFC for lunch and Kathy made a potato bake. I bought a lemon meringue roulade for desert and Kathy had to say she doesn't like lemon meringue oh well I love it.

Not many photos taken because I am unable to take them.

It is a good thing that we don't do anything for NYE as so much is cancelled.

Last of the Christmas Fact

Another Monday, more facts as the year draws to a close.

The tradition of nailing Christmas stockings near a fireplace came about in order to help Santa have a place to stuff candies and goodies for bright and cheerful children of the world. It also serves as an endless supply of socks for Santa.

No Christmas is complete if you and your kids don’t wear adorable Christmas sweaters. But did you know that a large part of the world has contests like the ‘best Christmas sweater competition’? When kids wear cute Christmas sweaters, they look adorable and they make beautiful memories to cherish forever.

Did you know that Santa does not simply ignore the children who have been bad throughout the year? He puts pieces of coal into the child’s stocking instead of gifts! This tradition started in Italy. Yet another important reason for children to be good through the year and do as many good deeds as they can!

One of the most fun rituals of Christmas is the exchange of Christmas cards. You can ask your child to make your own cards with embellishments of his choice. By giving Christmas cards, they can convey their feelings to the person they like and wish them well.

he traditional Christmas meal in England before turkey became the obvious choice of food for the holidays was a pig’s head covered with mustard.

There are many traditions and customs your kids can partake in the happiest time of the year. Remember to involve them in as many rituals as you can, be it decorating the tree and house or making plum cakes. The festivities begin at home and will be treasured by your children for years to come.

Christmas Week

Woke when Tim's alarm went of and I needed to be, also it was 6.30. Tasha came down at 7am and got me set up for the day.

Had Daemon & Leo running in and out of the house, he stayed over night at Jess's place.

Spoke to Mum she was all over the place, not making a lot of sense.

Woke at 6.30 had to pee so got straight up.

Going to be another cool and wet day

Tasha went to Charlie and came home in a right pissed off mood.

Had a visit from Kelli & Freya, she told me that Sue is heading to QLD, I said I hope the boarder is open when she gets there.

Only had a short 20 minute chat to mum.

Tim cut my hair

Awake and up at 6am in for another warm day, hope it's not to sticky.

Workmen came and fixed the back sliding doors.

At around 2ish Leo came down in a state he couldn't find the bunnies. After a frantic search of the complex and surrounding streets Natasha found them in the house.

Leo was surprised that so many people started looking for them.

Mum was all over the place this afternoon.

Up at 6am, opened the house and started to get breakfast stuff out when Tasha arrived with “Nick's” (a neighbour) laundry yes she uses a my washing machine to do someone else's laundry do I care, nope.

Leo has been approved for NDIS funding, this is great news.

Mum was again rambling about nothing but sounded more like herself.

Jono's birthday he liked the shirt but it is far too small for him. Jess said it looks more like a woman's size. I will be complaining.

Had a not so great night, I was so tired last night that instead of listening to my book I fell straight to sleep. At around 11pm I woke and was restless for the next few hours. So I guess it is not a surprise that I slept in till 6.40am.

It's Christmas Eve and I am not excited or anything.

Mum was sounding ok when we spoke

Christmas Day has arrived with a little pop no bang here. It is a cold wet start to the day.

Jess & Leo came and fetched Tim &i to go to their house anw watch Leo open presents.

Dave & Leigh picked me up and took me to Mum's, I had a goodish day nothing bad happened just felt different. Sandy drove me home.

Dawson gave me a terrific storage set for the kitchen.

Had a sleep in woke at 6.40am and got up opened the house and made my own breakfast.

Kathy rang she will be here around 11.30, so no morning shower today.

So Tasha came and dressed me.

All the girls will be here for lunch.

Jess tried to order KFC online but wouldn't go through so they went in to order and get it.

Lunch was good, I liked having them all here. No fights or arguments.

Poem Day

A Friend's Greeting

Edgar GuestBy  More Edgar Guest

I'd like to be the sort of friend
     that you have been to me;
I'd like to be the help that you've been
     always glad to be;
I'd like to mean as much to you
     each minute of the day
As you have meant, old friend of mine,
     to me along the way.

I'd like to do the big things
and the splendid things for you,
To brush the gray out of your skies
     and leave them only blue;
I'd like to say the kindly things
that I so oft have heard,
And feel that I could rouse your soul
the way that mine you've stirred.

I'd like to give back the joy
     that you have given me,
Yet that were wishing you a need
     I hope will never be;
I'd like to make you feel
as rich as I, who travel on
Undaunted in the darkest hours
     with you to lean upon.

I'm wishing at this Christmas time
     that I could but repay
A portion of the gladness
     that you've strewn along the way;
And could I have one wish this year,
     this only would it be:
I'd like to be the sort of friend
that you have been to me.
