Cruise 2026

While on our cruise we came across a few people who were doing around the world cruise and had already been on the ship for 30 days and still had a long time to go.

30 days would be far too long for me and the others agreed with me it is too long, 7 days is long enough for me, and the others agree with that as well.

If we take another cruise in the future, it will be to New Zealand which where I would next like to go for a holiday.

This last cruise was good but not as good as our other cruises the food isn’t as nice and many of the staff are also not as nice as we have had in the past.  Except our steward George he was friendly and helpful.

What made this last cruise special was having Jessica and Sue with us, I would have felt lonely without Sue, as both Tim and Jessica are fit enough to do things me and Sue felt unable to do.

By the last day all of us felt done in and just wanted to go home. We all spent a lot of the day in our cabins.

  1. A friend of the family has shucked it all and has established residence on a cruise ship. Meaning, that is where he lives, all year round. Good grief, that would drive me nuts. Let alone 30 days.

  2. I've never been on a cruise as such Jo-Anne, only across Bass Strait and back many times, I can't imagine me being on a cruise for 7 days. Many reasons.

  3. Same here ... a friend is now living on a cruise ship. That just does not sound fun to me.

  4. I've never wanted to go on a cruise, Jo-Anne. I'm glad you enjoy them, though.

  5. I do believe that 7 days is enough. Sorry this cruise wasn't as nice as other ones and that the food wasn't great. I'm glad you had Jessica and Sue with you.

  6. Unless a miracle occurs, I won't have to worry about it... but I'm betting seasickness would finish me quick.

  7. My husband served 20 years and was on 6 ships in the Navy and Coast Guard and he doesn't find it relaxing. That's fine with me. My favorite way to travel and always has been are road trips! Driven coast to coast three times and as a kid, every other year. That ocean is big and deep and ones dreams me out. I could do it for maybe 3 days...definitely not 30.
