Painted Frames

For a while now I have not been happy with some of my photo frames the white ones, I bought white because they were half the price of the black or brown ones but every time I looked at them I thought how out of place they looked so when I did my shopping this week I bought black paint and some paint brushes and last night I got off my ass and took them off the wall and started painting them.

Ok I started with just one this is how it looks like now it has been done and hung back on the wall in it's place.

I hope I am happier with the new black painted ones I also had a couple of old purple frames which I am painting black since the paint on them has started to chip..............

It is the first time I have turned my hand to painting anything...........lol

Good for you for trying your hand at a new project! I think that black frames make photos stand out so much better, and every time you look at them now you will smile, knowing you made the improvement. Things we do with our own hands always warms the house and heart! I helped my mom do a large mirror frame with with metallic gold roses once for my little sister's room, and it turned out so pretty!

I like both colours as frames. But we can choose whatever colours we like, so good on you for having a go. The frames look good.

They look good so far. I've noticed some blogs use sprays to paint their items which I'm wondering if they are better as you don't need turps and also you don't have bits of brush hair left in your painting work. Of course I haven't used it though so I'm not sure how good the spray is.

This lady uses it on everything almost http://signepling.blogspot.com

They look great! I love to reuse and upcycle what I already have instead of buying new. Great job!! :)
