Take care of you face & neck

Today I went out to pay something off my layby and while I was out I walked past a woman who had a smooth looking face with not many wrinkles but her neck and chest was a different matter they were very wrinkled and and looked like old worn leather............

See this woman brought up memories of my grandmother telling me that I have to always to look after not just my face but my neck and chest and when I apply moisturiser to my face I should automatically apply it my neck and chest. This I do every single time I apply my moisturiser I do not understand how some women can take care of their face and forget about their neck and chest.

Many woman also forget to take care of their hands I apply hand cream to my hands every night but I know I should do it more often durning the day but I honestly often forget about them during the day.

  1. My grandma taught me the same thing! Let's hope it pays off 20 or 30 years down the road-

  2. That woman may have had plastic surgery on her face. I remember Farrah Fawcett on a tv interview and thinking the same thing.

  3. Yes, could have been surgery, yet the advice about moisturizing remains true. I take very good care of my skin, as did my mother.

  4. i put lotion on my hands several times a day. the soap in the ladies' room irritates my skin so i'm using lotion each time i return to my desk. in fact, the soap in most places irritates my skin so i use lotion very frequently.

i also use moisturizer on my face and neck - every morning. not so much at night. i have fairly smooth skin, too for my age.

  5. Shelly......Grandmothers often know best don't they

Joanne.....I hadn't thought about plastic surgery, don't know why just didn't but if she had plastic surgery then the way she looks now is a good reason not to have it...

Janie.....I think some women think surgery will keep them looking young but I am not one of them. I think good skin care is more important.......

Teresa........I carry hand lotion in my bag to use after washing my hands when out in public but rarely use it when I am at home....

  6. Good advice I never thought of it but then I don't take care of my face either. I bought tonnes of handcreams but I forget to use them on my hand... or I remember and end up having to wash something straight away.

  8. Jo-Anne, this post put a big smile on my face.
High Five to you for looking after your neck and upper chest area (called the décolletage here in the land of esthetics).

As an esthetician, specializing in facials, I am always amazed at how women look after their skin (face, neck, hands..all of it).

The worst, is neglected feet! I could go on and on...

You are a smart woman for taking the time...it pays off in the long run.

    Smiles coming your way,

  9. Jenny.......Yes neglected feet are terrible I know I have had times when I have been out and about and have seen different women's feet that look so dry and cracked I rub lotion into my feet a few times a week I do not do it as often as I should
