Surgeries

Ok today’s topic will be surgeries have I had any have you had any, well I had my first surgery at the tender age of 5 when I had my tonsils and adenoids removed then I was lucky to go well into my adult life before having any more surgeries.

The next surgery I had was when I had my gall bladder removed in 2004 at the age of 42 this was done through key hole surgery and I was in hospital a week after the surgery. Then in 2009 I had surgery to fix my incontinence I think they used Vaginal Mesh to fix this problem. I remember when I went to the incontinence clinic they discovered that my pelvic floor muscles where so weak that they were like non-existent and I do not think they have improved at all.

Those are the only surgeries I have had in my 48yrs no broken bones and I take calcium each day to help keep my bones strong as I do not want to have any broken bones if I can avoid it.

  1. I've had that same lift procedure and thank god every day for it. My surgeries are too many to list here. Maybe I'll write post about it soon. Of course, directing my post back to you.

  2. I have a friend who just had neck surgery and thank goodness we can keep up with her while she recovers in the next few weeks.

I have never seen anyone detail surgeries that happened long ago, nor with such intimacy. Fascinating idea for a post - what made you think about this today? Are you feeling okay? I hope you are well.

Sounds like you've had your fair few encounters with surgery yourself!

  4. i sheared off the ball at the end of my thigh bone and had to have the chunk removed as it was scraping the cartalidge under my kneecap. unfortunately they botched it and my knee appears deformed now, though it IS functional. i just have to make sure no weird angles as it tries to pop out of joint now and then.

    Hi Byakuya

Lucky you I hope I do not need anymore operations in my life.

    Hi Tim

What you did to your leg sounds painful but at least it is still functional which I guess is the most important thing.

  8. I've had a couple and its never a nice experience, most of mine were when I was not old enough to remember really. The one that I do was at 22 and it was a myomectomy to remove a fibroid.

  10. Hi Joanne

3 opperations in one year would really suck although an operation for Cancer is not good but it has to be done. I hope you are fine now and never need another opperation.
