Me

Today I noticed that I have another 2 followers they are Lindylou http://lindyloumac.blogspot.com
and Jamie http://everyone-thinks-i-can-fix-it.blogspot.com
I would like to say a big welcome to them and hope they continue to enjoy my ramblings.

Today I thought I would share with you a bit about how I have you changed during the past year. I have become happier in myself the reason for this is unknown I just find that I am. I have many days when I am so excited that I am all bubbly inside. I have also become more content with how I look yes I am bigger then I would like but I am eating right and I know I do not exercise as much as I should, so I just have to accept that this is who I am at this stage in my life and no one can change who I am but me.

I have rediscovered my love of blogging and have started to write blog posts more often, I am also starting to hand write some of my letters to pen pals yes I do still mostly do my letteres on the computer but when I was without a printer and had to handwrite some letters I discovered that I do like to hand write them.

I also have noticed that I am getting a thicker skin where my children are concerned and not letting their hurtful words upset me as much, yes I do still get upset but I am finding that more and more I am telling myself that they do not mean it...........also I have started to say NO to them more often and when I do I tell myself they will get over it and that I am allowed to say NO. Yes I am still for the most part a push over and let my girls talk me into doing things I do not want to do but I guess that is me and I am not going to change that much.............

I have also realised that I do like being the reliable, sensible Jo-Anne the one that my daughters and siblings can relie on.................

  1. Hi Jo-Anne. Looks as if I am the first one to comment today! Lovely to see that picture of you and your hubby, and I thought that was a really positive post. I enjoyed it. Good to know that you are comfortable in your own skin and that you like being the reliable Jo-Anne. I've said before that you are such a good mum and grandma - I'm sure they do appreciate all that you do for them really! I love handwriting letters and cards as well. I do think it's great that you get days when you feel all bubbly inside. I have been friends with lindyloumac for quite some time now - her blog is really good! Hope you have a great weekend.

  2. It's really nice to see that you're happy and that you excepted yourself as you are. I'm very glad for you.
Handwriting letters is a very nice gesture and it also makes the letters more unique and special.

  5. Good post Jo-Anne. Glad you're feeling better about yourself. Saying no to the daughters will teach them some independence so remember every time you say now it's for their own good. Good for you for liking who you are!

    Hi Tim

This is the happiest I have been in ages and it feels good.

    Hi Barb

Yes I keep reminding myself that when I make my daughters do things for themself that it will help them become more independent and that's a good thing.

    Hi Desiree

I never thought about my bubbly feeling as being a symptom of my inner contentment but I think you are right.

    Hi Becca

Thank you for the kind words and I am pleased you liked the post, I just wrote what I feel.

    Hi Teresa

The photo of me and Tim is part of the family photo we had done at the end of last year, I think it makes me look a bit fat but it is what it is and I can not change how I look in it.......ok I could but then it really wouldn't be me......would it.
