No Garden

                                                         Do you have a garden?

I love flowers but I do not have a garden why is this well it's because I have black thumbs and even though I do love flowers I do not like the work that goes into having a garden. This is what my front yard looks like.......

Now you may be thinking that my back yard would look better but that would be a mistake it looks like this...........................

  1. Gardening is hard work but it is so rewarding to look out the window and see nice plants or to come home and see new blooms as you drive in. You could make such nice garden beds in both your yards. Just start a little one at a time. The lavender is doing well so grow more of it. Stick to plants that are easy to grow and don't need much care or watering. Succulents are easy.Have a go Jo-Ann, you can do it. It is very relaxing for the brain working in a garden. Start a herb patch. Mint and parsley are easy. It is a form of exercise too, keeps you fit, and gives you a sore back. hee hee.

  2. I wouldn't know where to start with gardening myself but yours is a lovely size. I imagine my garden would look similar to yours unless its already beautiful.

  4. Believe it or not but we don't have a garden, there's no grass at least. We do have pots with flowers though. Your garden has a nice size :)

  5. Hi Jo-Anne. Yes, I do have a pretty large garden. I love it to look nice but, believe me, it really is hard work! Everyone who visits says how lovely it is, but all I can see is the hard work! LOL! Ideally I would love to have a little courtyard with lots of tubs of flowers.

  6. My husband took over the flower garden and I take care of the veggie garden. He is much better at it than I...I hate that!
The veggie garden this year was just so-so but the flower garden was awesome.
    Blessings, Joanne

  7. You think you have black thumbs? The only thing I can grow is mold on a loaf of bread.
    I couldn't even grow up.

  8. Like you I like flowers but I don't like gardening at all, yet there are so many people find gardening good therapy. To me it's work.

We do have a lot of lavender growing I only showed a little bit of it in the photo, I have been thinking of getting a few pots and growing some flowers in pots, like my mum does.....

    Hi Bubbles

    Hi Eva Ason

Yes it is a good size out the back whenever we tried to grow stuff in the past our little dog would dig up the garden, but she is gone now so hubby may give it another try.

    Hi Thisisme

Yeah I know it takes a lot of hard work to maintain a nice garden.

    Hi Joanne

My husband is the gardener in our family although I am thinking about trying to grow things in pots.

    Hi Al Penwasser

I know a lot of people who have not been able to grow up so you are not alone in that regard...........

  10. Lucky you. I live in an apartment and well I've got to say I quite like the fact that the gardens I play in are maintained by council workers, lol.

  11. Hi Jo-Anne, Admittedly perennials can be a lot of work. Trees and low maintenance shrubs, however can be way less work and would add a lot to your yard. If you like flowers, but not the work, maybe you should plant a few flowering trees or shrubs. Just water them well until they are established and then they will take it from there. Easy! Have a great weekend!
