How can someone say they like but do not love members of the immediate family, it is something I just don't get. I have a neighbour who's daughters say they like each other but do not love each other.
I have always loved my siblings even though I have not always liked the person they were at certain times in their lives. Even my husband has said that he loves his siblings on some level although he doesn't like them much as people.
I hope my daughters all love and like each other.
Maybe I am just a lucky woman as I have the most amazing siblings and they are not just my siblings but they are also my friends.
A lot of people would like immediate family and not love them, but then again there are so many kinds of love, that the 'like' is probably 'love' but they don't want to admit it :)

There are times when siblings fall out but mostly they love each other. I always feel sad when I hear where members of families don't love one another. I am glad that you are not one of those families. Thanks for your comments.

ReplyDeleteEven when I didn't like my sister much I still loved her and would have done anything to help her all she had to do was ask.
i have one sister who absolutely hates all of us. undeserved, too i might add. i have one sister who passed in 2001 and she was one of my friends in life. my other sister and i are good friends. i have three brothers, too and although i do love them, i have very little to do with them. not by my choice, but because we live far enough apart that we only see each other 3-4 times a year and that is if i drive to their city. they never, ever come to mine.

ReplyDeleteThanks for dropping by and leaving a comment, for a very long time my sister Sue hated me because she thought I thought I was better then her never though........now days we get along just fine and even when we didn't talk I still loved her and would have been there for her if she ever needed me.
My husbands family is completely different to mind they never talk to each other let alone see each other.
