Girls or Boys

If you had to pick, would you have only all boys, or only all girls for kids?

For me this was a simple I always wanted daughters and oddly enough so did my husband and we had three daughters. Now how would we have felt if we had a boy the answer just fine it wouldn't have bothered us and we would have loved a son just as much as we love our daughters. What we wanted most was to have a healthy child and that is what we got three healthy beautiful daughters.

We now have two grandsons and one granddaughter who we love just more then words can say, do I have any regrets not having a son...........no not at all.

How about the rest of my blog pals did any of you have a prevance or where you just happy to have a healthy child or just a child healthy or with special needs.......

  1. I always wanted whatever I was having...but I have to say this: Boys are easier to raise. Yes, they are little hellions when they are in the grade school years, but teenage boys are a gazillion times easier than moody little teenage girls.

    Just sayin'. Happy weekend!

  3. I don't have any children but I've no idea... girls have a much nicer option of clothes, toys etc... and brighter colours and boys are just boys...

  4. I am delighted to have my two daughters, who are always so loving and caring and always think of the little things. Having lots of friends with only boys, this doesn't seem to be the case, although, of course, they are loved just as much. I am now very blessed indeed to have two granddaughters, and a grandson, who is 3, and he is absolutely delightful and loving! So I've got the best of both worlds I think.

  5. When my best friend and I were growing up, I wanted 4 girls and she wanted 4 boys. She got 2 girls and stopped - I had a boy, then girl, then boy and stopped. Love them all the same - healthy was the most important.

Ron and his 1st wife had two boys and a girl as well. Now, we've got (from his kids) 3 granddaughters and 2 grandsons. From our kids we have 3 grandsons, 1 granddaughter, and one more granddaughter on the way. There's also a new bun in the oven but too soon to know if it's a boy or girl. The girls are outnumbered so we're pulling for another girl.

  7. I was just happy my first was healthy. Since she was a girl I wanted my second to be a boy since I would not be able to have any more after that. I have a girl, a boy and a darling stepson. I'm very fortunate indeed..

  8. I grew up with 4 brothers and have 2 nephews and my son. So it was a boys world until my 2 granddaughters were born. It is such a joy to dress them up and play dolls and tea but there's also the fun of climbing trees and jumping in puddles too. So I guess I wouldn't have cared one way or the other.

  9. i have a son and a daughter and a grand son and grand daughter. a pigeon pair both times. boys are a little bit easier to raise (well mine were) but of course they both have their own problems/joys. my late husband wanted a son. i didn't mind either way as long as they were healthy.

  10. Hi Jamie

I do not have any idea whether boys are easier then girls I think a lot depends on the kids of my 3 girls only 1 of them gave me no trouble at all......lol

    Hi Mynx

Thats the way to be just love the child you have boy or girl.....

    Hi Bubbles

Yeah I do think girl clothes are prettier then boy clothes and I love going shopping for clothes for all my grandchildren.

    Hi Thisisme

Yeah I think girls are often more affectionate then boys although both my grandson are very affectionate they tell me they love me all the time.

    Hi Teresa

Isn't it funny how when we are young we think we know what we want but then when we have children we are just happy with whatever we have.

    Hi LindyLou

That is great you where blessed with what you wanted I feel the same way.

    Hi Craziness abounds

Many people feel like that wanting at least one of each.

    Hi Barb

I think many families find that they have more of one sex over the other in them in my family there seem to be more girls then boys...

    Hi Yevisha

As long as we love our children regardless of the sex of the child then all is good.

  11. i have 3: girl (7), girl (4), boy (3). was hoping for a girl for #3, but the boy is turning out to be pretty darn cool...though he has no regard for his own safety, leaping off of very high places and such, and though he is the youngest he was the first one brought to the emergency room. i thought my girls were crazy until he came along, haha.

  12. I have one of each and I wanted to have one more but it was not in the cards for us. I had a name picked out and it was a girls name. At the time my daughter was the only girl grandchild on both sides of the family and I wanted her to have a sister too.
    Blessings, Joanne

  13. I'm happy with my two children, I have a daughter and a son. My daughter have ADHD, and it was a bit turbulent when she grew up, but she's 23 now and manage perfectly. She's at Corsika working as a chef at the moment and my son Tom is a drum player in a band.
Have to admit that Tom was a bit easier to handle than Malin, as a teenager...

    Have a nice Sunday!

  14. Hi ID

Hubby was sure our last would be a boy and we had a boy's name picked out but she turned out another girl and he couldn't have been happier.

    Hi Joanne

At least you managed to have two children I have an aunt and uncle who would have loved to have children but it wasn't to be and they couldn't afford IVF.

    Hi Eva

I haven't heard much about girls being ADHD seems to be more a boy thing......I had enough trouble with two of my daughter without having that thrown into the mix.....
