  2. Of course you wouldn't Janie, unless you are a military historian of Australian Wartime heroics in WW1 - viz: the Gallipoli Landings of 1915.

      I remember learning about John Simpson and his donkey when I was in Primary School in the Social Studies classes of the day.
      I think whenever I saw a donkey way back then in the early 1950's I thought of John Patrick Simpson. I think he was awarded the VC for his exploits or at least the MC.
