Here we are at another Wednesday and of course it is slang day so here are this weeks slang words.
Bail......To cancel plans
Bogan.....Someone one other countries might call a redneck or someone who is acting weird
Cactus.....Dead or broken
Chrissie....Christmas
Dag.......Someone who's a bit of a nerd or geek
Well, I knew bail. That is very common here, too.
ReplyDeleteDag is a short nickname for my son Dagan--and he is a bit of a nerd or geek--LOL! But never knew it meant that in slang.
Yeah bail is pretty common many of us can be a bit of a dag at times
DeleteI still use all those words every day language, except for bail. Dag is being a bit cute about someone; bogan is being less cute about someone.
ReplyDeleteWe live in the City of Logan, it adjoins the City of Brisbane. We have a lot of Logan Bogans in the area too.
ReplyDeleteI don't know why but Logan is often associated with bogans as is the suburb of Windale here in Newie
DeleteUse some of those words sometimes Jo-Anne
ReplyDeleteThat doesn't surprise me
DeleteWe have lots of bogans here in Georgia, and they are the best folks on earth!
ReplyDeleteYes they can be really great people
DeleteThose are different. I would have never guessed them.
ReplyDeleteI am glad you liked them and have learnt something
DeleteI wonder if Dag Hammarskjold was a geek...
