Gross Facts No:5 Bacteria

Hello everyone it is a lovely day here in Newie was suppose to be 36°c but it is only 24°c so a nice temp not too hot or too cold..

I had a rocky start to the day but it was my own fault I took my insulin and my morning medication and forgot to eat so my blood glucose level dropped too low and I was feeling in a bad way by the time I got back from driving Leo to school. It didn't help that I went to the shops before I came home.

Let's move onto some gross facts.

Lots of bacteria live in your armpits and feet, they live off the sweat.

A single gram of fluid in your large intestine contains 10 trillion bacteria.

There are about 3000 microbes (tiny bacteria) on every square centimetre of a desk.

If you could get bacteria to line up in a row, 10,000 would fit across your fingernail.

A piece of chicken that is starting to smell is covered with at least 10 million bacteria per square centimetre.

A kitchen stink is home to 10,000 times more germs than a toilet.

One bacterium can turn into millions of bacteria in less than a day.

Hot water is much better than cold water at getting rid of bacteria from your hands. Most bacteria are frazzled by the heat.

  1. I love your gross facts, but they are icky. I didn't know they were under my arm pit! lol

I have diabetes too - be careful of those lows - do you keep something in your purse to help raise it if you need to?

Not sure how you forgot to eat - I would have been starving.

  3. Interesting info even though they are gross facts. Do take care, do remember to eat with your medication.

  4. IT makes you want so badly to wash away all these bacteria but it can't be done despite the washing. That's the part I try not to think of.
