Saturday at last

Beds R Us open at 10am and Natasha has already agreed to call them as I often find that people say they have trouble understanding me over the phone.

Tasha rang about the mattress and said it will be all set up when I get home

Jess, Leo & I went to Kelli's for lunch, she did a casserole//stew and it smelt and tasted like what Mum would make.

Jess stopped and bought bread and a caramel tart for dessert.

When I got home Tasha helped me do the medications.

Awake and up at 6am as per usual after a decent nights sleep on the new mattress.

Tim had a doctors appointment and was suppose to get a Dr certificate for the bin service I have to continue.

We had discussed why I was asking him to get it instead of me having to go and see him, however, I had made an appointment for Wednesday just in case.

Well when he got home I asked him about it and he said it will be ready when you go on Wednesday, WTH, when I reminded Tim why I asked him to ask about it he said he forgot. Talk about annoying.

Leo's early day

Up at 5.30 tried to ring Tasha but it kept going to voicemail, so sent her a text. She came and showered me.

A cold start but a warmish day.

Tim forgot his phone and my first thought was I should ring him and let him know, what a silly thought.

Up at 6.15 with the alarm, had a decent night sleep.

Had a Dr appointment about the letter I needed for the council in order to keep the Blue dot service for the bins.

I also asked about another referral for an OT, he said it is difficult to find someone who is taking new referrals.

Tasha is looking into it

Tasha came and hung out my laundry.

A new day,up at 6am and a cold start to the day.

I had an appointment with my podiatrist my feet are good.

Warmed up by 11ish and had to change into lighter pants.

Managed to answer three letters this afternoon.

Leo here tonight

Woke at 5,30 and needing to pee I got up straight away and had a good wash that included shaving my underarms. I even managed to dress myself without crying.

Tim mentioned a few times how cold it is, I am not cold inside the house, outside is somewhat cold. Although he still r ode the motorbike to work.

Leo was home by 3.10, I was sitting outside Tasha's talking to her when the van pulled up, I thought the bell didn't go to 3.20.

ust Wait For The Sun

©

Published: March 11, 2020

When everything's darkness
And you feel so alone,
When the rain doesn't stop
And you can't make it home,
When it feels all is lost
And you just want to run,
It can't rain forever.
Just wait for the sun.

When family is pain,
When friends can't be found,
When you just want to scream
But you can't find the sound,
When it's all your fault,
And you feel like you're done,
Just wait for the sun.
The sunshine will come.

The storm always passes.
It won't last forever.
The rain always stops and gives way to good weather.
The brightest and warmest of days still to come.
Please wait for the sun.
The sunshine will come.

People who need you,
People who still love you
Can warm up your soul like the sunshine above you.
You're never alone,
No matter what's done.
Wait for the sun.
Just wait for the sun.

Dark clouds always pass.
I promise you, hun.
We're all waiting with you.
Just wait for the sun.

My Weekend Post On Monday Becuase I Forgot About It

I woke at 4am and between then and 5.40am when I got up I only dozed on and off.

Another cold day.

I went through Mum's jewellery and placed each piece in its own small plastic bag ready to distribute to the girls.

Woke with the alarm which was a surprise as from 4am I was somewhat restless and when I got fed up with not settling and decided to get up the alarm went off.

A bloody cold start to the day needed the heater on in the bathroom when getting dressed.

Went over to Mum's place and was there for 3hrs again but the inside is done now.

I won't be of any use doing under the house so won't bother going over on Wednesday.

Awake and up at 5.30 from around 3am I had many episodes of sweating needing to throw off the covers till it passed.

Tasha gave me a shower first thing this morning.

A cold start but warmed up.

Awake at 5.35 after a shocking nights sleep, my Cpap mask wouldn't stay done up, I need a new strap and a hair cut. I managed to get some sleep my laying on my right side with my hand under my head to hold the strap tight.

Been a warm day after a chilly start.

Had to take a cold tablet and a headache tablet and ½ a Phenergan as I am feeling awful.

Slept better last night thankfully, woke only once briefly and got up at 5.50am.

At 11.15 I asked Tim what time he had to leave he said 11.45 I said my copy of his rooster said he started at 11.48am. He jumped up and checked and rushed out as he was now running late.

Started out cold but warmed up.

Leo here tonight.

Awake and up at 5.40am after a ok nights sleep.

Started to rain around 10ish and rained pretty much all day so I wasn't able to meet Leo had to send Tash.

Jess reminded me that on Sunday we are going to Kelli's for lunch.

Had a decent sleep got up at 6am but around 9 I went back to bed till Kathy and the girls arrived. I then had a shower.

After Kathy & girls left Tim and I went over to Mum's to pick up some stuff. We then went to Beds R Us and bought a new mattress, which should be delivered after 4pm.

At 4.45pm I said to Tim that I hoped the guy hadn't forgotten about us he was suppose to deliver it on his way home from work. By 5.15 Tim agreed that we had been forgotten.

What made things worse is that Tim had removed the old mattress to outside and had to get Leo to help him drag it back in so we had something to sleep on.

Poem Day

The Darkness

©

Published: July 2018

You would never know it,
The constant pain I feel,
Because in the light of day
It almost isn't real.

Sure, I'll play, I'll laugh,
I'll sing some songs,
But that pain is always lurking
Because it's been here all along.

And when the darkness comes
With its all-consuming power,
It slowly takes my soul
Hour by dreadful hour.

But they tell me that I'm strong enough.
They swear that it gets better.
They say, "If you can just hold out
and bear this stormy weather."

They tell me, "You will be happy one day.
All you need do is fight."
But what they seem to forget
Is after each day comes the night.

And so I act along.
I play my part
While this crushing darkness
Slowly breaks my heart.

Cleaning Out

As most people may have noticed I have not been around as much this is because I have been busy cleaning out my parents house. I am done as the inside is done, well as much as can be, the rest will be done after my nephew is relocated.

I was in charge of sorting through photos and paperwork and was there a lot of photos hundreds of photos. I tossed all the scenery ones, all the ones of people we don't know and some that had multiple copies except one.

There were receipts dating back to the year 2000.

Also we found a shit load of wool and other knitting and crochet stuff, Mum didn't crochet that belonged to my great-aunty Joyce, Dad's aunt.

There is still under the house to be done but I would be useless when it comes to that.

We hired a 10 metre skip bin which was full in 2 days and was emptied and replaced. Of course that is expensive.

When I asked Mum why did she keep so much I heard her clearly say “because I couldn't be bothered”.

The Last Week

Woke up and got myself ready for the morning,it was a struggle to get my breakfast.

Kathy came and showered me an helped move the dressing table I got from Mum's, into my room and the old one out.

Tasha driving me and Tim over to Dave's for a sibling get together

Kathy picked us up at 6.30, I could have stayed longer but was also very tired.

Woke at 7am and rang Tasha the morning was uneventful at around 10.30 I started to feel unwell so went to bed for a bit. Afterwards I felt a little better but not much.

While I was laying down Dave dropped off my silver cup that I left at his place.

Tasha gave me a set of candles for Mother's Day.

Kathy & family gave me a new comforter for my bed, and a framed photo of her girls.

Woke with the alarm, Tim got up at the same time, today & tomorrow he has an early start.

Tasha drove me over to Mum's and I spent 4hrs there cleaning out Mum's room. There was so much rubbish consisting of old receipts and old letters from Centrelink and the bank dating back 20yrs.

Sandra drove me and Dave home.

A new day up at 6am and Tasha gave me a shower first thing. Just before 8am Dave rang and told me to listen to the radio as Leigh was on about about Mum, so I did and I cried.

There was a psychic medium on and Leigh asked about Mum & Dad and the response made me cry. Thankfully Sandy recorded it and shared it on the siblings chat and I shared it on the Meadows chat.

Of course some say it's fake because it wasn't 100% accurate 1 or 2 things we didn't understand.

Up just before the alarm, shaking from head to foot I am just so over it.

I spent another 4hrs at Mum & Dad's cleaning out their stuff and came home exhausted. Still a shit more to do.

My knees are so painful this afternoon, that I cry when I walk.

Awake after a restless night at5.50am straight up as per usual, rang Tash had wash and got ready for the day.

Not going to Mum's as I have laundry to do as well as other stuff.

I woke at 5am but managed to stay in bed till 5.35 when the need to pee became too strong to remain in bed.

A cold morning but a warm day.

Spent 4hrs at Mum's cleaning out more stuff, came home exhausted again. Although this afternoon my knees were not as sore maybe because I took one of Mum's morphine capsules this morning.

Slept in to 7.20am and Tim got up 10 minutes later. Just had a scone for breakfast as I didn't feel like doing anything else.

Kathy arrived at 8.30am and gave me a shower before her, Summer, Tim&I went over to Mum's. Kathy took 2 pictures to hang at her place.

I also brought home a box of stuff that Tash sorted through and she managed to clean off the table.

Tim removed the empty chest of drawers from our bedroom.

It has been a cold day.

Poem Day

Love's Coming

Ella Wheeler WilcoxBy  More Ella Wheeler Wilcox

She had looked for his coming as warriors come,
With the clash of arms and the bugle's call;
But he came instead with a stealthy tread,
Which she did not hear at all.

She had thought how his armor would blaze in the sun,
As he rode like a prince to claim his bride:
In the sweet dim light of the falling night
She found him at her side.

She had dreamed how the gaze of his strange, bold eye
Would wake her heart to a sudden glow:
She found in his face the familiar grace
Of a friend she used to know.

She had dreamed how his coming would stir her soul,
As the ocean is stirred by the wild storm's strife:
He brought her the balm of a heavenly calm,
And a peace which crowned her life.

Another week gone

Awake at 6.30am managed to dress myself as Tasha went out early and Tim was still in bed. I like being up alone of a morning.

Kathy came over to help us clean and sort through some stuff.

However Leo heard us talking about his room and got upset as he thought we were going to make changes without consulting him. I assured him we wouldn't. Tasha also spoke to him and he was fine

Then Kathy & Jess went in to talk to him which didn't go well. Jess felt that Kathy was speaking down to Leo in a disrespectful manner. This of course caused an argument between the two girls.

I kept out of it

Some cleaning and sorting did happen.

Had a restless night and was up at 6am as per usual, however, because I thought Tasha had gone out I didn't contact her till 6.50. Instead I dressed myself after my morning wash, only to find out that she didn't go out and I could have rung her at 6am.

Spent the morning along and the afternoon saw Jess, Kelli, Leo & Blain here. It was great having the house full of family.

Up with the alarm and rang Tasha slept better till 4.30am, then not so much till 6am.

Tasha came and showered me at lunch time.

Sandy rang and we are meeting at Mum's Wednesday morning.

Awake with my alarm after a shocking nights sleep. At 12.30am and take a Phenergan as I was so restless.

Leo came home from school he said he was having a bad day.

Had to get up 5 minutes after going to bed as I had forgotten to take my night time meds. Had to send Leo to fetch Tasha as I already had my Cpap mask on and needed help, yes I could have taken the mask off but I would still need Tasha's help as the mask is difficult to do up on my own.

Up with my alarm, washed and dressed.

Had a Dr appointment for my care plan, asked for a referral to see a occupational therapist for a functional assessment. This means 2 less visits to the podiatrist.

Tasha then dropped me at Mum's place so we (my siblings) could start to clean out the house. We did the spare room first and I brought home a heap of knitting stuff for Jess.

I also brought home her cordless vacuum cleaner, as well as other stuff.

I have decided to stop using the Norspan patch for pain relief as I feel it isn't working as well.

Up before the alarm by 10 minutes, it is raining so I couldn't take Leo up the front to meet his driver.

Sandra came over to pick up the stuff I printed for her. I also gave her 3 packets of biscuits Jess didn't want.

Tasha came and showered me,Leo here tonight.

Woke with the alarm, straight up and washed and dressed and ready for the day.

Tasha drove me to Mum's and Tim meet me there with the trailer so he could bring home the dressing table that was Aunty Joyce's. He also brought home the fridge Jess wanted.

Tasha putting me to bed as Jess is busy.

Yesterday's Poem

A Poem For Mom

©

Published: February 2006

You are the sunlight in my day.
You are the moon I see far away.

You are the tree I lean upon.
You are the one that makes troubles be gone.

You are the one who taught me about life,
How not to fight and what is right.

You are the words inside my song.
You are my love, my life, my mom.

You are the one who cares for me.
You are the eyes that help me see.

You are the one who knows me best,
When it's time to have fun and time to rest.

You are the one who has helped me to dream.
You hear my heart and you hear my screams.

Afraid of life but looking for love.
I'm blessed, for God sent you from above.

You are my friend, my heart, and my soul.
You are the greatest 'sfriend I know.
'sYou are the words inside my song.
You are my love, my life, my mom.

Last week of April

Didn't get home till after 11 last night. It was a good night, Tim picked me up and stayed for a bit before we left. Yes I was somewhat intoxicated.

I slept in till 9am and Tasha came down to dress me and make my breakfast.

Kathy coming over tomorrow.

I woke at 6.30am and tried to ring Tasha but the bathroom phone wouldn't connect with her phone and had to ring from mobile.

Kathy came over around lunch time and gave me a shower and ironed Tim's shirts.

I have a lot of pain in my left knee.

Woke at 5.25 thought I would lay there till 6am but no I was up at 5.45am. Tasha arrived 10 mins later.

Tim took car to have the dent in the boot repaired cost to us $800 which is the excess. The quote to fix it was $2500.

Sandy rang to tell me how the meeting with the Dept of Housing went.

His mother was there trying to take over the house but was told no not going to happen. Which is good I do not want her living there. So she cracked the shits and stormed out.

Dawson had to fill in some forms to be relocated and to nominate people to speak on his behave. He picked his Dad & Leigh or Aunty Sandy, not his mother.

It could take up to six months but also could be as soon as a month.

So now next week we will start packing stuff up, that will be a big job.

Sandy said the DoH Rep said we could just leave the large items and they would dispose of it.

However, Tasha said 2 different friends were also told that but one got a bill and the other had $250 added their account and was told to pay extra rent to pay it off. They tried to appeal and failed.

I woke at 5.25 again and got up around 6am as usual.

At around 8am the power went out and then I remembered about the power being out all day, I was rung and told about it a couple of weeks back.

The power come on at 2pm

Awake at 5.35 up not long afterwards and Tasha was here shortly afterwards.

Dave, Leigh & Dawson came and picked up the trailer.

Managed to write a few letters still have a lot to answer.

Another early start being awake at 5.25am, I got up at 5.45 and rang Tasha.

I have a lot of pain in my left knee. Had Tim apply Deep Heat which helped a tad.

By 2pm I was so tired I put my feet up laid my recliner right back and closed my eyes for and chilled for an hour.

Had another restless night waking often for a few minutes before going back to sleep.

I am shaking a bloody lot.

Kathy came over and gave me a shower and offered me a chest of drawers for my bedroom.

Tim went to Officeworks and bought me a new desk chair, it is a lot better, more comfortable.
