Lazy Day and My Weight

Good afternoon, well here we are at the end of another day here in Newie been a pretty warm/hot day again. This afternoon while watching telly with Tim I commented that I was really tired and Tim said why didn't I go have a nap, so I did, I slept for over an hour then it was time to get ready and go and get Leo from school this afternoon.

Been a pretty lazy day for me not doing much at all no appointments, no laundry to do,only the usual housework that needs to be done day in and day out.

Leo said he had a better day at school not great but better, also when he got home he asked for a toasted ham & cheese sandwich, also had a not from the school to order ham & cheese toasted sandwiches next Tuesday and he said he wanted me to order 2 for him, I will order 1 I think as he doesn't eat much at school.

I am still feeling stiff and sore but I am still working out each morning.

On Sunday when Tim and I returning from going to my parents place he had something he wanted to do with the caravan and the we went to the shops, well on the way from mum & dad's place to Warners Bay Plaza he started again about my weight and how much I eat and that he wants me to have weight loss surgery and wants me to as the doctor about it when I see her on Wednesday. I ended up snapping and telling him I get it and to give it a rest, he said he just wanted to make his point, I said point made, now you are just making me mad.

I know he loves me and worries about my health but nagging me about my weight only gets me pissed off. He said the exercisers are not working this is all because I am stiff and sore and can barely move at times, I said it takes time for the exercisers to pay off but I think he expects to see a change in a weeks time but I know it takes longer.

I have never been interested in having weight loss surgery but I have agreed to speak to the doctor about it which I will do tomorrow when I go to the doctors for my yearly care plan.

  1. My best friend died from complications to weight loss surgery. The actual surgery was a success for awhile, until a few years later, when the stapling ended up splitting and she had two stomachs. Thenshe started getting sick, and bacteria- well she died a couple of years later. Now granted, this was 13 years ago she had the surgery. My sister-in-law had it, and over the years, she gained back the weight.

Slow and steady. I figure if it took 1 year to gain it, it will take 2 years to get it off.

Hang in there. I also am battling with my weight.

  2. I nag myself enough about weight. Glad I'm not married to Tim.

  3. Exercise does notes you said, work all in a rush. It takes months of steadfast effort. And a reduction in food. Tim reminds me of my ex husband.= nagging like that. Once I lost weight and started body building, then he got mad because I looked so good. Men.

  4. I have a few friends who have had weight loss surgery and they tell me it's a huge commitment to changing how you eat for the rest of your life. Be sure you get all the information you need to make a good decision.

  5. I hope the doctor will give the right kind of advice about weight loss surgery, to talk on the pros and cons of the surgery. Diet is the main factor, choosing the right kind of food and commitment to exercise, starting off with less strenuous exercise until your body is warmed up for more vigorous exercise or you might incur injuries to your body. We can't expect instant weight loss but give it some time. It all depends on how commitment we are. I am also into reducing some of my weight because I am feeling a bit heavy now. Just keep it up and don't lose hope or feel discouraged. I think it is because Tim loves you and he is just being concern that causes him to nag.

  6. I know a number of people personally that have had weight loss surgery. One of my best friends had it a couple of years ago. I would think that is OK to get information from your doctor but ultimately, you should be the one to decide if you WANT it or not.

When I was very young I had a weight problem but I started a strict eating program and have been really small for the last 20 years or so. It's hard and it takes time. I wish you the best of luck.
