The Day I Became A Mrs.................

28yrs ago today at 4pm I became a Mrs...............yes this is mine and Tim's wedding anniversary we have been married 28yrs and they have been pretty good years, not great years but all couples have their problems and I can still say that I am in love with him after all these years.

Anyway back to my wedding day the morning of my wedding I got up and I remember going to have my hair done and then back home to get my make up done which was done my my nanna. I wore a dress that belonged to my aunt and we hired the bridesmaids dresses and my mum bought some really awesome artificial flowers which one of my sisters used at her wedding.

You know I don't remember much about the preparations for the wedding my parents did most of that, we held the receiption in the church hall and I also remember that is rained most of the day and that my dad cried right at the end when me and Tim were leaving the receiption.

Looking back there was only one thing about my wedding I wish I could have changed but back then I didn't have much of a voice and didn't speak up and say anything, what would I change you are wondering well we had a traditional fruit cake and I do not eat fruit cake so that is the change I would have had a cake that I would have eaten..............lol

What Type Of Holiday Do You Prefer To Take

Ok here’s the question if you had the time and the money which would you prefer to do take a plan or take a train? Do you love flying or do you only do it if you have to? Or maybe you love the feel of a train ride. 

Me I have always loved trains and would love to go on a train holiday but it is not something hubby is that interested in doing, he says he doesn’t mind flying me I have only ever flown once and I loved it……………no that is wrong when I was a teenager I went of a joy flight with my dad and grandfather and I remember loving that too.  But if I had the choice I would chose a train trip over a plane trip.

Have you ever been on a cruise? I have and I loved that so much and would really love to go on another cruise but hubby isn’t that interested in doing that either he feels once was enough but I will work on him and maybe get the chance to go on another cruise sometime in the future but honestly my next thing is to try and convince him to take a train holiday……………

Then again maybe you are one for road trips, I have been on many road trips and they can really be fun too, but not so much when you have three young daughters who get bored and restless very easy and keep asking that dreaded question “are we there yet”…………………..lol

How Do You Talk About Other People............

Yesterday I didn't get around to doing a post I was busy sorting out photos and writing letters to pen pals but I am up early again today and I have thoughts galore running through my head so while I wait for mum to pick me up so we can go and visit nan I am getting started on a post.

Do you ever wonder how people talk about you? Do you think people are always talking about you? Are you sure everyone has an opinion about you? 

I have a sister who always seems to think the family are talking about her and that she is often the topic of conversation...............but sorry sis you are not.................lol

Someone once said if you knew how little people talk about you, you wouldn't think people talk little about you............or something like that.................

The point being generally speaking I think most people are more caught up in their own lives that they don't sit around gossiping about other people all the time, it is rare that I talk about my siblings to my husband or children and I don't they talk about me to their other half and children.

Do I talk about my children to my mum yes I do in fact the only person I ever gossip with is my mum and we will talk about my dad and my husband and sometimes my kids and yes sometimes my siblings but guess what we do not go around saying bad or negative things about them. If dad is annoying mum she will have a bitch to me about it and if Tim is pissing me off I will have a bitch to her about him.

Sometimes I will come upon my sisters chatting and will jokingly say “you talking about me” but you know to be honest I don’t really think they are and I really don’t care if they are……………also I do not automatically think if someone is talking about me they are saying bad or negative things about me maybe they are planning a surprise for me or talking about what to get me for my birthday or Christmas why is it that so many people automatically think people are saying bad things about them………maybe they themselves have a habit of talking badly about other people so they think if they do it everyone must do it.

Pesonal Hygiene

What are your thoughts on personal hygiene?  Do you shower or bath every day?

 Me for years and years I would have a bath every single night without fail but in the last year I have notice if I am not going out the next day I may not bother about a bath and since I have oily hair I would wash my hair every night but lately I have taken to washing my hair only 3 times a week Tuesday’s and Thursday’s are a must and usually of a Sunday night as well and these are the night I have to have a bath since I go out on Wednesday’s and Friday’s as well.

Now Tim use to have a shower every night but he has taken to only having one a couple of times a week and he gets really pissy with me if I tell him he stinks…………..which he does and since he works with the public remember he is a bus driver I feel he should be having a shower ever night and if he doesn’t have shower he should be changing all his clothes underwear included………… if I don’t have a bath I change all my clothes before going to bed and in fact I rarely wear the same thing two days in a row.

I feel I own enough clothes that I do not have to wear the same thing two days in a row in fact the only pants I like to wear more than once before washing them is jeans………

I also wash my hands a lot during the day as I wash them after going to the toilet and before handling food and often but not always before eating that I am a bit slack about……………lol 

Also I have never had a problem well not that I can remember anyway with anyone telling me I stunk………..lol however my daughter Jessica and her dad and also my daughter Natasha all have a problem with it the get really upcut about being told they stink…………….My thought is if those who love you can’t tell you who can would you rather a stranger say something………….

Speaking of strangers saying someone stinks what do you do if you are near someone who stinks do you say something………………..bet you don’t because we consider it rude…………………….lol or do you keep it to yourself and try not to breathe to much while around them and be glad when they have gone……………..lol

Introducing Denni Jean..................

Last night at 9.46pm my new neice Denni Jean was born weighing 6.5pounds which makes her birday 1 month & 1 day before her pop's who she was named after. My dad's name is Dennis and his birthday is the 16th October. Here is a couple of photos of her.

Other news we didn't have Leo last night, although Jessica rang me at 8pm last night and asked if I could go and get him but I couldn't keep my eyes open, in fact she had woken me up when she rang.................so there was no way I could drive out to get him. 

This morning I rang my neice Kelli and asked if she wanted me to go and get him but she said she was right to watch him for the day although after Jessica picks him up this afternoon she said she is coming back here to have a sleep.

So there will be no nap for me today either since by the time I am ready for a nap Jessica will be turning up with Leo and I will have to watch him while she sleeps, so maybe another early night for me again............lol

Grandchildren, Dog Sitting, Child Minding & Hayley

What a day yesteday was up early 6.30am with Leo then after dropping him off at day care I went to breakfast with the family, Samantha & Tommy-Lee turned up with baby Hayley and I snapped these two shots of her but they couldn't stay long and Hayley was asleep so I didn't get to have a cuddle maybe next week.

After shopping I really felt like a nap but didn't have time as Natasha turned up to drop Blain off for the night and I have had him all day both Natasha and Jessica are woking to day doing Bus Marshalling which means they hang around the train station marking off the buses as they arrive and they tell people which bus to get on if asked this is done when there is track work on and the trains aren't running. It is good money for easy work even if their hours are long 10hr shift of Natasha and 12hrs for Jessica it only happens a few times a year.

I love Blain but he has been so demanding all day wanting food all the time and when I say no he gets the shits like all children do but oh well such is life, at the moment he is in the bedroom watching telly and playing with the dogs..............however he will not  be getting any more food today so I will have to listen to him have a whinge about how he is soooooooooo hungry which of course he isn't......................lol I did bow to pressure and baked a chocolate cake for him of which he has had a couple of pieces

I don't know we may have Leo tonight which means tomorrow will be another day dealing with a child who will be complaining all the time he is hungry when really he would be fine if he would just go and play with the dogs............lol At least I don't have both boys although in some ways having the two of them is ok as they have each other to play with...........

I do hope to get a nap this afternoon after Natasha has picked up Blain but we will see..............
Oh yeah I am also watching Jessica's dog "dino" because she can't take him to Kelli & Jono's place which is where she stayed last night and they are watching Leo for her today. It would be cool if the watch him tomorrow as well but I am not holding out hope...........

Tim is also working this weekend doing rail work so it has been only me and Blain here all day and tomorrow if I have Leo it will be just me and him as papa will be working again............

So how often do the other nanna's/grandmothers watch their grandchildren?

As everyone knows I watch Leo every week and I had Blain every week till he started school so I know when Leo starts school next year I will not have him as often. I have never had Sydney-May over night as her mum has never asked me to but I did watch her for a while after Kathy went back to work but have not watched her in months since she is now in day care while Kathy is working................

Thursday's Ramblings Enjoy Or Not Up To You..........

What a day today has been I have been sat at this computer just about all day, hell that is nothing new if you were to ask my family they would say I am always on the computer well till around 5 or 5.30 when I close the lid and have tea then watch the news then have a shower then watch more tv before going to bed............lol

Today I got to see my great nephew Daemon and you know what I didn't get a photo taken of me with holding him, how silly of me................

Jessica got two new tyres on her car it goes for a rego check tomorrow and it's going to cost her over $300 why because it is LPG and is over 10 years old which means the LPG tank has to be drained and tested for leaks and that costs money. Because it is due for rego was the reason she had to get new tyres all 4 had to be replace costing $400 and then there is the cost of the CTP which is "compulsory third party insurance"which set her back $575, damn it cost a lot to have a car...............lol When I said Jessica got new tyres it was me who had to take the car there to get the tyres as she needed a sleep which was her way of saying I don't want to do it so will you please do it mummy and this soft touch mum said yes of course at least it didn't take long and I only had to go up the road.

Still speaking of Jessica both her and Leo will be here tonight so her dad can take her care to work tomorrow to get the rego check done, there is a guy near the bus depot that can do it so Tim has arranged to take it in tomorrow.

I have just remembered to put my camera on to charge so I can get photos of my new great niece Hayley tomorrow, yes I spelt her name wrong when I did the post about her birth, but now I know better and will not make that mistake again............

I do have this one photo of Hayley to show you but I will take more tomorrow.

Now even though I have been sat here all day I did manage to do two loads of washing and get it out and dried before it started to rain, ok it isn't raining yet but there is a bit of thunder and it is very overcast now so I think it may rain the point is the washing is dried and off the line so I don't care if it rains or not............just saying.............lol Please note the above photo is off the net and not taken by me................lol

I also haven't had a nap today so I expect to be in bed early again.................oh well at least I feel like I got more done today.............lol
