Good morning all it is Monday and I am posting some facts about the jolly old man in red.
Santa, Santa Claus is 1,751 years old as of 2022. In fact, the origins of Santa Claus can be traced all the way back to a monk named Saint Nicholas, who was born between 260 and 280 A.D. in a village called Patara, which is part of modern-day Turkey
Similar to Santa, the elves believe Mrs. Claus is roughly the same age, around 1,700 years old. Mrs. Claus is from Canada, so she is very used to the cold temperatures in the North Pole.
They state that one of the oldest elves around is 4,000 years old, and he goes by the name of Kringle. The youngest is only 700 and is named Buttercup
The average winter temperature at the North Pole is-40°C (-40°F). This is seriously cold, but not quite as cold as the winter average at the South Pole, which hovers around -60°C (-76°F)!
So, how many reindeer does Santa have? Before we get into naming all of them, let's get one thing straight—Santa has a total of nine reindeer pulling his sleigh. The legendary names are Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner, Blitzen, and (drum roll) Rudolph.
The temperature at the North Pole is much too cold for me. We're chilly enough with the cold snap we're having in Florida. I didn't know that Mrs. Claus is from Canada. A lot of good bloggers come from that country.

My husband when he was in the US Coast Guard, was on a few scientific expedition cruises to both the North and South Poles. The only continent he has not been to was Europe.
